My experience with the dealership was great. I wish I could say the same of my experience with Honda in general. The letter I was sent said that this freeze sensor software replacement/upgrade would take 20 minutes. It neglected to say per item that needed to be updated. I was at the dealership for over an hour and a half. Fortunately, I had the time. But, I wish I had been more well informed in the original letter from Honda.

I was searching across several states for a very specific 2026 Honda Passport Transport Elite - Ash Green Metallic with Brown interior - and Luis Delgado at Honda on Grand made the entire process remarkably easy. I was purchasing from out of state, so clear communication and accurate numbers mattered. Luis was responsive, straightforward and patient from the first conversation through delivery. He provided the VIN, pricing and buyer's order in advance, held the vehicle for me with a deposit, kept me updated when it arrived, and there were no surprises in the agreed selling price when I got to Elmhurst. I flew into Chicago, took the train to Elmhurst, and drove home in exactly the vehicle I had been searching for. After dealing with a lot of dealerships during this search, I especially appreciated Luis's no-pressure approach and willingness to simply answer questions directly. I do my out the door math before I go to the dealer. We took the around the block spin but I wanted to take the vehicle on the highway and I was allowed to do so, (something the nearest Honda dealer to my house wouldn't allow. Cost them a potential sale) My car was very clean, strictly maintained with all receipts and a spread sheet summarizing them. I'd like to think they took time to review the spread sheet, but what I know is they came back (first number is never legit) the second time and were less than 1% different than the number in my head. The negotiations took about 15 minutes, the finance office took about 10 minutes. No attitude, no pressure. Trading vehicles was no more stressful than buying a candy bar at a grocery store. It took me longer to drive to a bank a couple miles away, fetch a cashiers check, and drive back to the store. The whole process was a wonderful surprise. Sales guy Adrian and his manager Sebio (I think) took care of business the way I feel it ought to be done. Great experience.
