We knew we were going to trade in our truck. - Phyllis
We knew we were going to trade in our truck. I just didn’t think we would find a dealer that could compete with McRee Ford in Dickinson. I’ve purchased 4+ vehicles from McRee just because the experience was so easy and smooth. No pressure from sales. Just find your vehicle, sit down, sign papers, leave. Well, Baytown Ford is just that. I looked them up on deallerrater.com and was impressed at their rating. Looked up a few sales people so I would have names when we walked in. We showed up one hour before closing time. I told my husband let’s just walk the lot… someone would come out and jump us and try to make a sale. Well after walking their lot, nobody came out. So we went inside. The nice woman at the desk called for a sales person. Then here came Gelmer Velasquez. I saw his name several times on dealerrater.com with great reviews. I was relieved. Now let’s see how he really is. We told him what we were looking for and what our budget was and if he didn’t think he could do it, just tell us and we’d leave. He told us about a few possible scenarios and showed us a couple trucks. We ended up test driving two different trucks. He got us within $33 of our budget. He was the only person (besides the receptionist) we spoke to during this entire process. No back and forth with some sales manager/boss man. Just Gelmer. From trade in value on our truck, credit check, sales price, interest rate, extended warranty… just Gelmer. Then he took us to Mario Wilson, Finance Manager, to sign all the papers. That’s it. Done. We left around 9:00 pm.
We couldn’t have picked better people to deal with than Gelmer and Mario. Two of the nicest gentlemen you’ll meet.
Bottom line: if you’re in the market for a new vehicle, go to Baytown Ford. Just go. Ask for Gelmer. You’ll be glad you did.
