Jennings VW provided the best overall buying experience. Very honest pricing upfront; no pushy add-ons from sales team; it was a pleasant experience to work with finance manager - did not push stuff like warranties etc. I interacted with Dan Kazak; Ziggy Sierzputowski; Arek Aneszko; and Erik Dixon; and every single member provided an outstanding customer experience. I was specifically looking for VW 2025 Jetta Sport Trim in Silver and visited 4 dealers (Liberty VW; Gurnee VW; Muller VW; Evanston VW) before going into Jennings VW. Muller was the most expensive and straight forward dealer. No nonsense. Liberty VW had the most shady practice (price went up once you arrive at the dealership. Did not honor email quote. Rude sales person who said "you don't qualify for all the rebates like Military; college grad". Why do you then sent me an email quote?). Gurnee VW played every known dirty trick in car sales business (like pushing add-ons like paint protection; left me alone in the room waiting for 30 minutes; I had to walk out the door; then sales guy comes running; finally printed a quote for Gray color; lied outright we don't have Silver color in stock for Sport Trim; I stepped out and pointed 2 cars sitting right there. Evanston VW had a false $1500 loyalty cash on the website; when I went into the dealership "oh that expired last month our website is outdated". I will absolutely do business with Jennings VW again; and totally recommend Jennings to all Family & Friends. Good Luck with your search.

Our car-buying experience at Fox Valley VW was nothing short of exceptional! Our first visit was on 5/23 to check out a used VW Passat for our son. Unamused, he found another used car; however, it was already sold. After test driving a few other pre-owned cars, the conversation shifted to leasing a new car. We took a 2025 VW Jetta SE for a spin. The ride was amazing; however, our son, was interest in looking at another car for sale from a private seller. Working through the numbers, it became glaringly apparent to our son that choosing a new car was a better decision. Reflecting on our experience, my wife and I returned to Fox Valley VW on 5/30 to trade in our 2023 Palisade Limited for a 2025 Atlas SEL Premium R-Line. What we genuinely appreciate about this process is that there was no wrangling or high-pressure sales tactics. The level of professionalism and transparent integrity demonstrated by Dan Latcu (sales associate), Alex Williams (sales manager), and last but not least, Joey Laudando (finance) was impeccable! Their collective approach to selling us two new cars in the span of a single week should be the gold standard in the industry!

Asim Syed was our sales person and Anthony Pociask was the manager. we made the deal on a Wednesday and picked the car up the next day. everything was ready for us and it took 1.5 hours for doing the finance deal, and getting a tour of the car, and them making sure they answered all of our questions. In case you are wondering, Yes I would highly recommend them to a family member :-)

It started pouring down rain right when we were finished and they had a driver come pick us up from the other building so we didn’t have to go out in the rain. Had been messaging with Jeanette Valentin and when I arrived she was there to immediately meet with me and show the three different models I was interested in. If you are looking for a service department that truly cares about its customers and does exceptional work, this IS the place to go. While there are several locations nearby where I can get my VW Beetle serviced, I choose to drive an hour to Marion, Illinois because of the quality of service, kind staff, and knowledgeable technicians. My Beetle is my baby, and this service department treats her as such, even going as far as remembering my car’s name, Stella. The folks at Volkswagen of Marion always do an excellent job but it was my visit in April 2023 when the team showed me just how exceptional their service can be, especially Brian Evans and Rich Lewis. They stayed in contact with me while their technicians team spent several days pinpointing what was wrong with my car. My biggest concern was having some form of transportation during this time. Well, they quickly squashed that concern by giving me a vehicle to drive while mine was in the shop. When my Beetle was fixed, they brought it back to me looking brand new inside and out with gas in the tank. As a woman, dealerships and service departments can be intimidating. Historically, the automotive industry has been male-dominated, and as a result, women are sometimes stereotyped as not knowing much about cars. Luckily, it’s not like that at the Volkswagen of Marion service department. If I could, I’d give the service department at Volkswagen of Marion way more than a five-star rating as they continue to exceed my expectations.

Blatant Bait-and-Switch — Dishonest Pricing, Mandatory Junk Fees I came in as a cash buyer to purchase a 2023 Porsche Macan they had listed for $44,974. The ad made no mention of required dealer add-ons or hidden fees. Once I asked for a final price, they slapped on over $4,200 in non-negotiable garbage, including: • $1,499 for a “Nano Armor” ceramic coating • $864 for a GPS tracker • $1,895 for “prep and delivery” — on a used car When I pushed back, they told me this was “just how they do it.” They would not remove the charges, even though I never requested or agreed to any of them. This was not a miscommunication — this was intentional deception. This dealership uses classic bait-and-switch tactics. They advertise one price, then refuse to honor it unless you agree to inflated, high-margin junk you don’t need. This is a predatory and dishonest sales model, and based on dozens of other reviews, they’ve been doing it for over a year with the same staff. The worst part? They treat it like it’s normal. No apology. No effort to correct anything. Just pure greed. I walked away and filed formal complaints with the BBB, FTC, and Attorney General. If you’re reading this and thinking about buying a car from here — don’t. They don’t deserve your money, and they sure don’t deserve your trust.

I was shopping around for the best price on a used Atlas and came across one at Elgin Volkswagen that was cheaper than any other Atlas I saw online. I was a little skeptical because the price was so low, but when I went to the dealership a manager named Tom helped me through the process and made it very easy. So far I'm very happy with my Atlas!

Scheduled an appoint to have the brakes replaced (including a quote) and replace transmission fluid. They said it would be a couple hours next week. I come back in for the appointment, asked that they were indeed going to replace the rear brakes, they confirmed, and I waited. 3 hours later, they said the rear brakes needed to be replaced, would I like to wait the rest of the day or get a loaner. No, because I already planned around the time estimate they gave me when I said to replace the xxxx brakes. And also no, because they literally did not do the one, main thing I brought it in for, and was unambiguous about it needing that service. This is on top of a separate, major electrical issue they magically couldn't reproduce three separate times, and still won't fix, even with a TSB highlighting the exact issue and resolution. And yet, I can still get errors and dings right as I pull up, and right as I drive away. They even ignored the videos a passenger was able to capture. The staff has left me with the impression that they either don't have the interest in fixing the car, the ability to, or both. I wish I could say it was a one-off, but three times means those are habits, not simple accidents. If I were Wecks, I wouldn't want my name on that door. UPDATE: They apparently read these reviews, because after setting up an appointment to bring the car in for a recall issue related to the backup cameras (NHTSA 24V480000), I brought the car in the next morning, after getting the appointment confirmation text, handed my keys over, and was told to leave the building. When I set up the appointment, I said a loaner wasn't needed, I had the day off and wished to remain available in case there were other issues found. The response: they told me to leave the building because ownership didn't like my earlier review and they would call the police. I took my key back, took my phone out to record and confirm that it was ownerships decision that I was no longer a customer. Suspiciously, that they decided I was no longer a customer made itself known after I said the work needed was part of a recall. Not when I set up the appointment, walked in, provided my info, and handed over the keys.

Do Not purchase an extended warrenty from this dealership. If for any reason you either sell or trade the vehicle you will be cheated out of the purchase price from this dealer. I purchased a 2025 ID Buzz with an extended warrenty for $3,900. I traded the vehicle and asked this dealer for a refund. To this date I have not received notice from this dealership and I am out the monies that I paid. Volkswagen of Bloomington Normal is a dealership that should be avoided if you value your hard earned money.
