Would give a 1, but dealership was clean, people were polite and well dressed and courteous. So, I was referred by my brother-in-law who knew the GM and asked that I sent him stock numbers of ones I w polite and well dressed and courteous. So, I was referred by my brother-in-law who knew the GM and asked that I sent him stock numbers of ones I was interested and he advised he sent them to the GM. I advised I only wanted best no-haggle that he could do and if it fit I would pay on the spot. That is not what I got. GM gave me to a salesman who had trouble with the stock numbers and drove up one of them to drive - this was after he knew the expectations that I set and that is when the 4.5 hour shell game stared. " The world has changed, there is no more holdback anymore" There are no more sales goals and quarterly numbers to meet - the world has changed." In about 45 minute intervals the wear me down strategy waiting game started. I was eventually brought out a sheet with a bunch of numbers that included duplicated freight that was right on the msrp window sticker. etc. Then the gm came out and gave me his final price after about 4+ hours and I was about ready to walk. He went about a couple hundred but left on a cost that he described as a "Manufacturer safety cost" and an overcharged administration fee. Overall the cost was about 1800 over what I proposed to pay. I am ok giving some profit but the "Hyundai mandatory safety requirement" is listed as Lo-Jack on the final contract thet I was too worn out to review every word in the finance room and just signed, write a $30k check and left with a new car. I did not get full copies of everything, including the Hyundai wording or explanation of the 3 day return policy. I got no brochure, explanation or paperwork on Lo-Jack ( there is a Sperion sticker in the drivers door jamb. Pure deceiving ripoff and I would like it removed but I have no expectation that this would happen. I did call Hyundai USA and they explained vaguely the 3-day return, which I probably would not do anyway and assume that I would not get tax back, title, etc etc. They knew that I could have walked for the same price and gotten a CX-50 preferred over the border that is awd, has power heated seats, etc. They do have an antiquated 6-speed transmission and probably a stronger engine but it has carbon issues and only a 5 year 60k warranty. Tuscon is not really any better and I know about what is probably a shorter life engine that has cooling and electrical issues. And that the 8-speed transmission had recall a couple years ago and I expect that both will need to be replaced at some point, but you have 10 year.. Either way, I want front and back side or two pages (I only got one) of my contract with all wording I would like the Lo Jack removed from my vehicle and a refund on the deceptive profit center cost that is not mandated at all and was not called Lo-Jack. Either way. I want the xxxx lo Jack out of my car. Keep your moner and be happy in needed. I do not need Big Brother monitoring devices watching. They are only mandatory to you.Shame on me for not getting and reading all details - Shame on you for, first trying to add destination fees twice - I caught you on this, then the Mandatory Safety Device that has nothing to do with Hyundai at all per Hyundai USA. So much for wanting to walk in and see best price and falling into the shell game. Again, everybody was extremely nice, the dealership was immaculate and good inventory. 9/17/2024 Update - Everything was rectified and explained to my satisfaction. Plan in place for tomorrow and all good. I was in on a Saturday and busy so I get it. Sean was great and kudos to GM Adrian who made it happen. Any misunderstanding has the hatchet buried. Got the car with the warranty I wanted. The dealership was immaculate, the employees were well presented, professional and polite. More Kudos on an engaged team. Highly recommend and five star. Thanks to Sean and Adrian. More
