After three strikes you’re out! After 5 years of oil changes this dealership switched by car from Semi-Synthetic oil to Full Synthetic oil which comes at a much higher cost and t After 5 years of oil changes this dealership switched by car from Semi-Synthetic oil to Full Synthetic oil which comes at a much higher cost and they did so without discussing the change in oil type with me first where approval to switch was requested. After discovering this change I spoke with the service manager Ed and explained what happened. During our chat Ed stated to me Synthetic is a better oil and the he could not refund the difference in the cost of Semi-Synthetic oil as compared to the higher cost Synthetic oil even though the dealer DID NOT GET AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE FROM WHAT MY CAR HAS ALWAYS USED AT Zeigler Hyundai. The service manager instead of correcting the issue told me to make sure they are using Semi-Synthetic oil when booking by asking. Who asks this question when over 5 years the dealer has put the correct Semi-synthetic oil in and without question??? This dealership should never make a change like this in the maintenance of a customers car without requesting permission first especially when all past service record show a different oil was used. If the dealer would like to remedy the situation, they may contact me and until then I am lodging a complaint with Hyundai Corporate, Better Business Bureau and Zeigler Corporate. One last note this dealership completely destroyed the roof liner in by car when fixing the panoramic sunroof. The ceiling panel was sliced open with razor blade or knife or other sharp tool and after the repair the service manager Ed stated to me "come on its just a roof panel", "you are over reacting" and "who cares no one will see the damage", "we will do whatever repair you need". The issue here is the repair tech was completely careless in doing his repairs and the service manager treated this like an insignificant issue especially after I asked the tech to wear gloves and to not cause any new issues. In addition to cutting open the roof liner on two separate occasions the technician left oily fingerprints all over the roof liner inside the car because he did not wear gloves. A complaint was lodged with Hyundai Corporate regarding this dealerships service dept. Customers beware you are getting Careless service work and bad customer service at Zeigler Hyundai. Anyone with questions I will be happy to answer them. Moments after submitting this review, the general manager of the dealership called where he assured he would follow up within the hour with a solution on the oil change and then he never called back as promised. Seemed like a brush off. This dealership does not have any customer service skills whatsoever, and they appear to be entirely profit driven even if it means screwing over the customer. On a completely different note, the sales department at this dealership sold me an suv that they claimed had a 3500 pound towing capacity and then after the return period on the vehicle, I discovered that it could only haul 2000 pounds. When this was brought to the dealerships attention, they We’re not willing to do anything to remedy the problem even though their sales guy provided me bad information. Instead of doing the right thing, they offered to sell me another car at the same price anybody else would pay that walk through the doors as a new customer instead of doing something to get me in a car that actually tows the weight that I needed and that the salesman told me my car could handle. Any buyer at this dealership should fact check their sales person and if I’m being honest, they should shop elsewhere. More

Always follow your first instinct. Purchase a 2020 Kia Sportage from them 2 years ago and it needs a new engine. This company doesn’t offer carfax reports. The sales person had an attitude about my request to have the recalls repaired prior to purchasing. I purchased from out of state. After purchase I was mailed the forms and told to take them to the state to change the title myself even though I paid a $500 documents fee. I was told LoJack was required and charged another $500. And paid $5000 for a warranty that doesn’t cover the engine that is consuming oil at rapids rates. Have to put oil in the engine ever 14 days. BUYER BEWARE. find another that cares about what they sell their customers. More
