Sales and staff were very pleasant to work with. - tknjk
Sales and staff were very pleasant to work with. I turned down the truck after the first go around of information exchanges. Kevin Bearce, our salesman however, did not relent and convinced us to make the 500 plus mile trip to purchase it. Kevin handled most everything, knowing we were from out of town, even offering lodging suggestions, dining options, local events, etc., along with all the transaction tasks, assisting wherever he could. The truck is mostly all I was looking for, only missing the creature comforts of the truck I traded away, many of which I miss dearly. For whatever reason, purchase excitement, salesmanship, trip planning, I don’t know, whatever the cause, I failed to complete my normal research. The only loss in this transaction was in the Options Package, had I finished with my due diligence I would have discovered the purchased truck had a 510a Option Package, much less than the 520a Package my previous truck had and this transaction would not have gone forward – my bad (slight buyer’s remorse).
As for the back of the house (finance), we did not have the same positive experience. Once we got to the office, took what seemed like forever, everything went well at first. Side note, their signing station is quite impressive (more salesmanship I am sure) a desk size iPad of sorts. Anyway, everything was going well until we hit the warranties portion of deal. When we declined their offers of extended/additional warranties, the finance manager’s demeanor turned visibly reproachful and almost nasty, the atmosphere in the room became tense. He wasn’t offering anything better than I already had lined up, sorry. There were other post purchase irritations involving the finance department, but I’m not inclined to “pile on” at this time. Simply put, it could have gone much, much better in my opinion
This review is a couple of months past the event on purpose. To do a review too soon after the event, your comments will usually be unrealistically positive with later viewpoints being much different, so I delay.
