We had a great experience purchasing a vehicle from Buena Park Honda. CJ (Chris Maae) is an exceptional salesman. CJ attended my wife and I with patience, respect, and courtesy. CJ did not pressure us nor mislead us like the other Honda dealer (I'll keep them anonymous). I also want to acknowledge Peter, the sales manager. He was professional and respectful during the sale process. Finally, I want to shout out Winston Wei. Who somehow managed to make the finance transaction enjoyable. I highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family.

The customer service component was good. My complaint is that the exiting driveway is extremely steep and can ruin your whole suspension. I exited with extreme caution and still had a horrible experience coming down that driveway. That driveway should have been attended to a while back!!!! I'm in total disbelief how that parking lot/service department driveway has been neglected, nothing has been done. Even though I live in Whittier and you're the closest Honda dealership to me, I will never go back. I don't was to ruin my car's suspension as I exit the service department. I paid way too much for my Honad Accord Hybrid Sport to mistreat it in any way. Also, they didn't bother to wash my car. Other Honda shops will wash my vehicles and or give me a voucher to get it washed at a near by car wash.😒

I received the worst service of my life — both in terms of the maintenance work and the treatment from the staff — including Service Agent Juan Ayala and Service Manager Alfredo Mejia at Hardin Honda. I own a 2019 Honda Accord Sport. On July 28, 2025, I dropped my car off at the Hardin Honda dealership service center around 7:45 AM to replace the evaporator. This repair requires removing and reinstalling the entire dashboard. I specifically chose the dealership so the dashboard would be reassembled to factory standards, and I paid $2,056.88 for the work. The part itself only costs a few hundred dollars — most of what I paid was for the labor involved in disassembling and reinstalling the dashboard. When I picked up my car at around 5:00 PM the same day, I immediately noticed the dashboard was not properly installed. There was a large gap between the dashboard and the windshield, and similar misalignments in other areas. I pointed this out to Juan Ayala. At first, he dismissed my concern, claiming “Honda builds their dashboards like that.” I was certain this was not true, so I compared my car with other Honda Accords at the dealership. After seeing the difference, Juan admitted there was indeed an excessive gap and told me to bring the car back the next day so they could fix it. On July 29, 2025, I returned with my car. Later that day, Juan informed me that they were unable to fix the issue. When I went back to inspect it myself, I found nothing had improved — the gaps were exactly the same. After arguing with Juan for several minutes, he finally gave me the contact information for the service manager, Alfredo Mejia. On July 30, 2025, I spoke with Alfredo. He was dismissive and unhelpful, stating outright that they could not fix the problem. I explained the amount I paid, what I expected, and why this level of workmanship was unacceptable, but he showed no concern or willingness to resolve it. This dealership provides terrible workmanship and customer service. The dashboard reassembly looks worse than what I would expect from a cheap mechanic shop, let alone a Honda dealership. If you care about your car and expect quality service, do not go to this dealership.

Earlier this year, I had to replace the front windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord after a freeway incident. To avoid the high cost of going through the dealer (approx. $2,000), I opted for a reputable local installer who did the work using an aftermarket windshield. The work was done well, but I was advised the front camera might need recalibration. Months later, I received an error that disabled safety features like Brake Assist, so I brought the car to Diamond Honda on June 21, 2025, for a camera recalibration. Despite being unable to complete the recalibration, they still charged me the full $582. They claimed the windshield installer incorrectly placed the camera brackets, though this was not conclusively proven. Regardless, I don’t think it’s fair to charge full price for a service that wasn't successfully performed. The windshield installer (who was surprised Honda charged me at all) then had the recalibration professionally redone elsewhere for $350—which fully fixed the issue within a few hours. I returned to Diamond Honda on June 27 to request a refund. I waited 30 minutes (after being told it would be just 5) before meeting with their Service Director, Oscar Ramirez. Unfortunately, he came across as defensive and dismissive. Rather than showing understanding, he implied I should’ve expected problems because I didn’t have the work done by Honda. Ultimately, he agreed to a partial refund of $350, but only after making me wait another two weeks to prove the issue didn’t return—and requiring another scan of my vehicle. I came back on July 11 with no error codes present. However, the experience was even worse this time. I waited nearly an hour before even being acknowledged, and nearly three hours total just to get the promised refund. I never even spoke with Oscar—he walked by me multiple times without any acknowledgment. The lack of communication and courtesy was glaring. While I understand service departments can be busy, the lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism I experienced from Diamond Honda has made it clear that I won’t be returning. I’m sharing this so others can make a fully informed decision before choosing to do business here.

I'm sharing my utterly terrible experience with Honda of Downtown Los Angeles so others don't fall into the same trap. My "certified" 2022 Honda Pilot AWD came with a defective door lock that was clearly not inspected. When I returned, they argued the car wasn't like that and refused to provide pictures! This is for a supposedly "certified" vehicle. They eventually exchanged it, but the second Pilot they gave me also had multiple defects: a broken part in the back, a damaged window cover, and a sun visor that wouldn't stay up. The quality control is nonexistent. To top it all off, with an excellent credit score of 797, I was charged a shocking 7.28% APR on my loan. Their own agent admitted this was "very high and unacceptable" for my credit. Their website boasts low rates, but my experience was a complete bait-and-switch. This dealership engaged in deceptive practices, sold me two flawed vehicles, and then hit me with an unfair interest rate. My trust is completely broken. This was the worst dealership experience I have ever had, and I have purchased many vehicles. I found a car online there with an advertised price at a "good deal". I inquired via email and phone and got no response. I took the chance and drove over an hour with full intention to purchase the vehicle that day. After test driving and ready to do paperwork, they advised there was over $4,000 added on for "accessories" such as a GPS tracker, alarm, and m3 tape. Sales people were rude and unhelpful. I left and went a mile away and purchased a vehicle at a dealership that isn't deceptive.

We showed him the lower price listed on line and he directed us to the manager Bilal. He said he would match the price. He went on to give us discounts on the service and support contract. He helped us set up insurance at a cheaper arte, helped us get our rental picked up and gave us the same intereest as one we had established with USAA....I cannot think of one negative issue....TOTAL happiness and support.

This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. I usually dread visiting car lots and being chased around by dealers, or even worse being ignored because I'm not dressed sharp enough! (I'm talking about you cerritos nissan!) Well this was much different, we got to browse the cars on our own and when we were ready, we were warmly greeted by Frank, our salesman. He pointed out all the great features on the Civic we were considering and then we took it on a test drive. He never tried to talk us into a more expensive model, or adding a bunch of extras, he just let us get the model we wanted and gave us a great price we couldn't refuse. When it came to the paper work, it was smooth sailing and their financing even beat our credit unions interest rate. We were then sent to Art who patiently explained our contracts and additional warranty coverage, and got to watch us sign all of our official documents. He never made us feel like big idiots if we didn't consider additional coverage. (I'm talking to you again cerritos nissan!) We were also congratulated many times by various sales people, including Richard the sales manager. This is a dealership who knows the Honda name sales itself and won't try to pressure you in any way. Therefore I highly recommend Community Honda of Whittier! You rock!!!
