I just purchased a 2022 Toyota GR86 (Neptune blue) with - Auburn-GR86
I just purchased a 2022 Toyota GR86 (Neptune blue) with the assistance of sales consultant John Jerabek, ~755 miles from my home state of Alabama. The entire process was pretty flawless and amazing! This was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership, so I really didn't know what to expect. From the start, John was super responsive to my inquiries about payments, details on the car, and answered long text questions, etc. He quickly got me an OTD price at the very first correspondence, providing me with his work and personal phone number. In the first day or so he sent me a HD walk around video of the car, with plenty of detail, and a touch of witty humor, which I appreciated. A few times I accidentally texted him on his off day, but he was always quick to respond, and what he could answer away from the dealership he did, and other inquiries were answered when he clarified the next day with bosses or mechanics. After a few weeks, of back and forth, and a few price changes, offers, offer rejections, etc. we finally met on a price that was reasonable for both me and the dealership. Having had spent a few years living in the DC area, and some research, I realized that the Bill Page Toyota dealership was only 2 miles (practically walking distance) from the East Falls Church Metro stop. Which is only a few stops from either the Dulles or Reagan International Airports. So, if you live out of state, it's actually pretty easy to get to the dealership with just your 2 feet, and they will gladly pick you up just outside the metro stop. After we came to an agreement on price, etc., I simply wired them the funds, and the next day was contacted by my credit union, that there was a bank name discrepancy connected to the account numbers, but after a quick search I realized that the bank's name was simply due to a 2019 bank merger, and renaming. It was quickly cleared up after I talked to my credit union contact, who was obviously just being overly cautious. John also confirmed this and set my mind at ease in the process. So, I went ahead and booked a one-way flight from Alabama for about a week later, before the funds had even cleared. John, always followed up on his promise to reach out to me the next day, etc. whenever I had a question about something, providing real service, and showing a dedication to his customers. I simply had a friend drop me off at the airport at 4:30am. Took a direct, less than two-hour, flight to Reagan International Airport. After I landed, I took a short walk to the metro station, and texted John to let him know I was on my way. He reminded me of the metro stops and directions to go, and which colored lines to take. In no time I was at the Falls Church Metro, and found his Camry, on time and waiting for me. After a short introduction, pleasant conversations, and about a five-minute drive, we were pulling into the dealership, where the bright blue GR86, was cleaned, fueled and waiting for me. I let John know, that coincidentally, I happened to book my flight on my Birthday. He laughed and said, Happy Birthday, and said if he'd known they could have put a ribbon on the car. And I'm certain they would have! After a bit of inspection, we were out for a test drive. I had never driven a GR86 in my life, other than the hundreds of Youtube videos I had watched, and everything was better than expected. In just a short time, I was passed along to Marcello Muttoni, for some final paperwork and information on warranties, etc. Marcello was pleasant to work with, he explained options, and pricing, but wasn't high pressure. He explained the ins and outs of the paperwork and answered my questions. By about 11:30am, I was ready to start the 755-mile trip back. John helped me hook up my iPhone to navigation and I was on my way. That same day I was halfway back, and the GR86 amazed me with every gear change, acceleration and steering input! A birthday I won't forget! thanks John!
