Poor Customer Service with some Unethical Behavior on top! My husband and I had two (2) incredibly poor experiences with LAND ROVER CHANTILLY. 1. Our sales person (Alex Hamdan) was rude and useless. We ask My husband and I had two (2) incredibly poor experiences with LAND ROVER CHANTILLY. 1. Our sales person (Alex Hamdan) was rude and useless. We asked him to overnight the final contract so that we could expedite the delivery of the vehicle. He said that Land Rover Chantilly did not have a mechanism in place for him to overnight the contract. We shared in an email that we were disappointed in his response and in as many words, he wished us luck finding a vehicle somewhere else. My husband immediately called the main number and asked to speak to the GM, Jeremy Lustman. My husband shared his experience and told the GM that he wanted a new sales person to help him complete the transaction and wanted to ensure that Alex received no credit for the purchase. The GM personally facilitated the overnighting of the contract and with a “workman” like attitude apologized for the lack of customer care. The contract was received the next day and the purchase was executed. The vehicle was delivered in a couple days to our home. We received no after-purchase customer care follow-up from anyone. 2. Approximately 28 days after receiving the vehicle, we had not received the permanent license plates and registration. The Chantilly dealership takes care of all the tag and title paperwork and as a practice has the out of state tag sent to their office first prior to forwarding tags to the vehicle owner. We called the dealership to alert them that our temp tag was expiring. We spoke with Yasmin in their tag and title office and she agreed to overnight another set of temp tags because they had not received the permanent tags from the State of GA. A few days later Yasmin called and said that the reason my tags were delayed is that I needed to have the vehicle emissions tested and send her a copy. We went out the following day and fulfilled the request. Approximately 1 week prior to the second set of temp tags expiring, we receive a call from Yasmin in Chantilly's tag office stating that they had under collected the amount of taxes due on the vehicle at time of purchase and we needed to pay an additional $700. She asked for my credit card on three separate occasions while we was trying to better understand how and why we had an under collection issues.... especially since I plugged the vehicles VIN number into the State of GA, DOR vehicle tax site prior to purchase and the amount collected was in line with what was stated on the DOR site. We asked was the under collection due to penalties because we were coming up on 60 days after initial purchase. Yasmin told me "NO", that IF there were any penalties, it would only be $20 or $30 so the new amount had nothing to do with penalties for the delays in Land Rover of Chantilly's processes. I told Yasmin that we were not comfortable providing a credit card for payment until we better understood what happened and why. We told her that we would visit the Gwinnett County Tag office to better understand the issue. The following morning, we visited the tag office and learned that the new amount that Land Rover Chantilly was trying to get us to satisfy included penalties and other fees that were not part of our contract and certainly were not penalties that we contributed to causing. The representative at the tag office provided us with a printout of taxes and late fees for our record and told us that we were in no way responsible for the additional amount and that the request from Chantilly Land Rover was problematic. The representative also stated that if Land Rover Chantilly tried to “hold our tag hostage” for the additional fees, to simply contact them and they would issue a replacement tag at no charge. We spoke with Yasmin immediately afterwards and told her how disappointed we’ve been with the less than ethical business practices and lack of customer care from their dealership. We told her what we had learned from the visit to our local tag office and she had no response other than she will share my feedback with the GM. Of course, to date, no closing the loop feedback or communication from the GM has been provided to us. This is the 3rd Land Rover that we’ve purchased (other Land Rover dealerships in GA) and the Land Rover Chantilly dealership is certainly NOT representative of the fantastic experiences received at other Land Rover dealership and certainly not worthy of operating underneath the Land Rover brand. It's when I told him that I did not want to buy it, is when I saw a completely different person. All because it obviously had rear damage. Undercarriage was destroyed, trunk not lining up with bumper, and bumper missing clips. He immediately started yelling at me accusing me that I stole parts from the car. He told me that I was a waste of his time. Extremely rude and hung up the phone on my face. he threaten me if there were parts missing he would call the police? I was in complete disbelieve to get treated this way. I have a government job, I will not ruin my career to do such thing! Please beware from this dealer as I read other reviews on here that they do try to sell cars that had been in accidents, also NEVER trust CarFax 100%. not everything gets reported to them. More
Yelling at Dad I’ve been looking at a replacement car for the last 45 days and have test drove the BMW X5/X6M, Tesla, Mercedes GL, and the Infinity QX80. I was also I’ve been looking at a replacement car for the last 45 days and have test drove the BMW X5/X6M, Tesla, Mercedes GL, and the Infinity QX80. I was also interested in the V8 Range Rover Sport as a friend of mine really likes his. I had tried to look at Land Rover Chantilly (Virginia) in mid-December but there wasn’t anyone available to assist us as both of the sales staff were busy with others. Given the Holiday season, I brushed it off and decided to come back when there would be less traffic. A few weeks later I stopped by with my family (wife and three kids) and a Salesman named Richard started talking with us. I had run into some bad experiences with other dealerships not having the model or the engine I was looking for. Every vehicle I looked at had high power (greater than 300hp) and at least the potential for additional seats (7). It turns out that Chantilly only had one V8 and none of the 7 passenger options in the Range Rover Sport (or Supercharged). Richard then tells my wife and I that it is a very limited option that nobody wants but we could order one if we really wanted. I really wanted to see it before putting in an order but I decided to move on. The next issue was some confusion on our part. I was interested in the HUD that is on modern vehicles and my wife had found a site indicating that it was available on the Range Rover. Richard immediately informed us that we were wrong (he had been working there for 26 years) and that it is not offered as an option at all. When my wife showed him the youtube video and site, he snapped at her saying that the site was in the UK and they have different options. Fair enough on the point (information is why you go to a dealership after all) but I felt like he was rude to her and could have handled it better. We asked if we could test drive the V8 and it turns out the only one they had was on the floor. It seemed to stress out Richard to have to move the vehicle outside. It took them about half an hour to move the car outside. I suspect they hoped we would just go away as Richard didn’t even once stop by to check on us in the 30 minutes we sat there. Once it was outside, we ran into another issue… There were five of us, plus Richard, and not enough seats. My previous experience with Mercedes and BMW had been test driving without the Sales person but Richard quickly informed us that we would have to do this in shifts as he had to ride with us. Okay, maybe there rules are a bit different at this dealership so my wife and I decided I would go first (with the kids) since I was the one that wanted to procure. It was awkward the way it was handled and I think Richard could have said something earlier. For the next part, it is important for you to know a bit about the location. This dealership is nestled in with numerous others in a circle that is about ¼ a mile in circumference. I started the drive and Richard quickly told me that I could only drive on the circle as they didn’t allow any open road testing at all. I was stunned. I took the BMW X6M home for 8 hours (with the option of overnight). Every other car I had test drove, including the Tesla, was out on the open road. I told Richard that I’m not going to make a $100K buying decision based on a ¼ ride. Richard turned red and said that his customers didn’t want high milage vehicles and it had to stay in the circle. I obediently took the vehicle back to the dealership and Richard asked as soon as I parked if I wanted to let my wife drive it in the circle. I repeated that we can’t make buying decisions like that without a real test drive and this time he snapped at me in front of my kids telling me I don’t have to tell him again. He informed me that he heard me the first time. The tone and the red face silenced my children and embarrassed me in front of them. If the dealership has a policy of not allowing open road testing, it is their decision to make. I think that policy is a mistake but not enough to write this letter. Where it went over the line in my opinion was Richard snapping at my wife and I, embarrassing me in front of my children, and making us feel unwelcome at the dealership. There are three other dealerships in the area and my advice would be to make the trip into one of them (like Tyson's). I decided not to let a bad sales person ruin my experience and I ended up buying my Land Rover at a dealership that valued my business. More

When trying to make and offer on a $50,000.00 XKR through my Canadian Dealer we received no call backs after they were promised we would. Sunny and Richard were completely disinterested in negotiating or eve my Canadian Dealer we received no call backs after they were promised we would. Sunny and Richard were completely disinterested in negotiating or even dealing with us. I have purchased many cars through my dealer and neither of us have ever been treated with such disrespect and dismissal. After not receiving call backs from Richard, when leaving messages that we would like to make offer. Out of frustration my dealer called and asked for the general manager so we could get an offer in. He was directed to a gentleman named Sunny who turned out to be a sales person not the general manager, we later learned. Sonny promised to call us back to discuss and offer and never did. We felt completely confused but also lied to. We were directed to a sales person when asking for the GM, the sales person never declared he was not the GM and promised to call us back and never did. The experience was so bad in fact that my dealer told me he had a bad feeling about the dealer ship based on the way Richard and then Sunny were conducting themselves. it was completely unprofessional and something we had never experienced with legitimate dealerships. My dealer's discomfort caused me to search for and read reviews about this dealer ship and I discovered that Sunny in particular seems to have misrepresented the truth to others as well. We are trying to buy the car sight unseen and ship it out of state, so trust and truth are imperative. I have seen where others were told the used car they were interested in or even purchased from this dealer was in great shape only to discover it had been in a collision and damaged. I only buy from dealerships that represent the manufacturer of the car I am seeking, hoping that the ethics of the brand will be represented at the deanship. This experience and those of others at this dealership make me seriously question this logic. I will be contacting Jaguar USA and asking if this is how they wish their brand represented even when dealing on a relatively inexpensive pre-owned Jaguar at one of their dealerships. More
