On 04/15/24, I took my 2020 Ford Eco Sport vehicle by tow - luanybastidas

On 04/15/24, I took my 2020 Ford Eco Sport vehicle by tow truck to the BIG STAR FORD Dealer. Rosemary Garza, the Service Advisor at Ford, received it and texted me that the engine and turbo need to be replaced for an approximate cost of $7,181.62. I reminded her that the vehicle had a recall and that they should cover those expenses. The vehicle was at the Dealer for 4 months and did not give me a Loaner Vehicle. On 06/12/24, I was informed that the recall was over and that they would cover the repair. On 08/14/24, I was informed that the vehicle was ready and that I could pick it up. On 08/18/24, I took the car on Sunday and left it at the Dealer which is closed. The vehicle did not accelerate and the dashboard lights came on. On 08/19/24, Mrs. Rosemary told me that the fault was the transmission and that they were going to check the vehicle. On 08/23/24, Mrs. Rosemary informed me that the technician checked the vehicle and said that the spark plugs (3) and coils needed to be changed for a cost of $834.98. I removed the vehicle because I considered it an excessive cost and that this was not the reason for the fault. On 08/26/24, I took the vehicle with the most serious fault again. I asked another technician to check the vehicle. The other technician informed me that the fault was due to the throttle control body or the accelerator sensor. I again removed the vehicle and took it to the Gulf Coast Dealer in Angleton. Where they determined that the fault was a pin adjustment in Pin 31 of connector 1232E, And the fault that the vehicle had completely disappeared. Mrs. Rosemary used offensive terms towards me such as "I don't know what you did to the car because it worked fine when it rolled out of here" The Mechanical Technicians of FOR BIG STAR could not find the real fault of the vehicle, suggesting changing parts that were not the real fault of the vehicle, implying an unnecessary outlay of money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BIG STAR FORD.

Was mostly satisfied with the purchase except for one issue. Truck was supposed to have remote control for garage door but doesn’t. Told only solution is aftermarket control pad. Can’t find one that works with my older garage door opener. My 2014 truck paired up and worked fine with this opener. Looking like I will need to have new opener installed. That’s an expense I wasn’t planning for.

Service is horrible. Had to take my truck in for two tires to be replaced. They put the 2 new tires on that took over two hours and then the new tires had no white letters out. Turned out the new tires had no white letters and the two remaining tires had white letters out. Had to go back another day and spent 2 1/2 hours and found out I was pushed aside for a worker to change out tires on his new purchased truck. it’s at least an hour more wait than what your told every time I’ve gone in for service. I had one service scheduled where they had to take my truck to another dealer. When I called to check on my appointment, the service had never been scheduled. No one calls you back. Leave messages and still no call backs. I keep thinking they will send me a satisfaction survey but haven’t seen one yet.

Do not have your vehicle serviced here. I bought a new truck and had power boards, bed cover and leveling kit installed. Was told a day that turned into 5 days with no updates unless I called about them. Talked to service manager Patrick and he said he would get to the bottom of it . After 30 minutes call my salesman that was off and home with sick kid and he got me information. Called Patrick back up and he hadn't even looked into it. Now truck is back in for a windshield replacement dropped off Thursday and said it would be ready by Saturday. Was called in Friday everything on track and good to go. Now Saturday before 9:00 am I get a phone call from Patrick that it will be Monday or Tuesday before it is ready. I am not sure what to think about the service department there and afraid what is going to happen if I have to e to take the truck in for any repairs or anything since the maintenance plan was bought through them. Stay far far away unless you want continuous issues and lies

Bought 3 new cars from this dealership in Victoria Texas. This is one of 2 we purchased brand new in 2022. A month or so ago the cruise control went out. Made an appointment to get it repaired, because it was still under warranty. They had trouble taking the steering column apart, saying the air bag might not work. They claimed someone took the steering column apart and tampered with it. Now they are telling us they repaired the cruise control switch, but they found other issues (metal filings in the steering column? Paint marks on the steering column?) and that they will not warranty it because of suspected tampering. When we asked multiple times if it was safe to drive, they would not say it was. Now they are telling us we have to come and pick up the unsafe car and sign a paper stating they are not responsible for anything that happens going forward. When we asked if they were accusing us of tampering with it, the manager said no. We are the only owners. Welcome to Mac Haik customer service. (reviews are abysmal and they tend to not honor warranties regularly) They still have our car.

Other than telling me they included a bed liner in my f250 and then the next day saying oh its not in the contract after specifically asking if it was still in there prior to signing. Yes,I should have double checked it was still in there but when a very specific direct question was asked to the finance sign here guy and was told one thing and the next day get a text from the salesman saying nope. of course its a he said she said situation at this point. Integrity means nothing anymore at these dealerships or any large American company at this point.

Copying over my Google review: Oct 2024: Have continued to take my car here for service (recalls, oil change) and a collision fix after a hit and run. (I was on the hit side of things, not the run.) I worked with Clinton in Collision - and what was the most stressful week of my life became so much more easy to handle. He explained the process better than my insurance (Geico) did for me, and made this incredibly simple. He made sure they got all of the right parts and fixed everything that was impacted. I really appreciate how well this went, and will continue going to this dealership - which says a lot, because I typically work with small local garages, rather than large dealerships. However, Planet Ford is fantastic (sales, service and collision). ------------ Jan 2024: Literally the easiest car buying process I’ve ever gone through in my 21 years of owning cars. I told them the exact car and all of the numbers I wanted, they moved super quick before I even came down, got me an extremely fair trade in value, and didn’t go through all of the usual car buying lines or try to drag another dealership or car, but focused on the deal we were discussing. Minimal negotiating and no outrageous replies. In a 200 mile radius, I could not find an Explorer that compared to this price, feature set, and/ or condition. Worked mainly with Justin Odle and spoke with Michael Bliss. Highly recommend them both if you want to skip the xx car sales lines (“but this deal is only good today”). Also the finance guy is great. (Dennis I think?) Gets you through paperwork quickly and doesn’t hammer you on warranties - he mentioned then, answered my questions, skipped them and moved on. I bought the Ford one through them (not a third party warranty, i don't love those.), because... I'm that kind of person. (If my car explodes in the future I’ll update this review.)

On 7/19 we had an AWESOME experience with Megan Acosta (inventory specialist/sales) and Andrea Watson (finance) at Tommie Vaughn Ford where we were literally treated like family. We have been blessed to have contacts at various dealerships over the years where we were treated well, but this experience was the best of all. They met us with the sales manager when we walked in the door, had an offer on our trade before we could sit down, and helped us locate an additional vehicle for a family member (did I mention multiple follow ups for us on the vehicle for our family member). We closed the purchase and will close the other purchase when the located vehicle arrives! Can't say enough about these wonderful ladies!!! Purchased my F-150 from Boerne Ford, along with purchasing a 100K mile extended warranty. I need to take truck in for warranty work at 31K miles, and the best offer they have on a loaner while my vehicle is getting serviced for safety recalls and warranty work with my sunroof falling apart is 2-3 months out. No sense of urgency nor a sense of caring about the customer after the purchase.
