Thank you for the reply. I want to be clear about what happened: I came to McRee Ford with a valid warranty issue on a 2024 F-150 Lightning with only a couple thousand miles on it. Your team denied the claim and sent me away, attributing a factory primer adhesion failure to rock chips. That diagnosis was wrong. The same day I left McRee, I drove directly to Mac Haik Ford. Their body shop manager inspected the bumper, immediately recognized it as a paint adhesion defect from the factory, filed the warranty claim, put me in a rental car, and repaired my bumper — all while McRee was telling me it wasn’t a warranty issue. I just picked up my truck. Bumper repaired. Warranty claim approved. Zero cost to me — because it was always a warranty issue. I appreciate the response, but “I was unaware” is not an acceptable explanation when a customer is standing at your service counter explaining that this is not rock chip damage. You can tell from the pictures I took.. Someone at McRee made this call and got it wrong. That cost me time, stress, and a trip to another dealership to get what I was entitled to from the start. I hope your investigation leads to actual change. Other Lightning owners are reporting the same bumper issue on the forums — this is not isolated. Your team needs to know what a primer adhesion failure looks like versus a rock chip, because right now they don’t.
