unfortunately, I had an appointment for Handy Toyota to take a look at a paint repair that has bubbled and peeled down to the primer and is less than two years old. I set the appointment up with Ethan Raymond to have the failing paint repair looked at, I only had an appointment for this issue as they wanted to see the defective repair but didn't say they would make it right under warranty and stated it didn't mean they would fix it. I dropped off the vehicle and specifically told the gentleman and lady taking pictures of the 360 around the vehicle I was there to have the bubbling paint looked at and they said it would be about and hour. I was like really. they fixed a recall that I just had fixed the week before and waited an hour for. could have said that's what was going on and I could have given them the repair slip from alderman's Toyota in Rutland. the low rating on Darren is due to his lack of addressing my defective paint and just saying they sent it into Toyota. the low rating on Handy Toyota is the way they treat the customer after a service goes wrong on there doing and how they handle it. this is covered under Vermont law as it was done in transit before the vehicle had a title and the repair follows the original warranty despite the number of owners. but we will see how they respond to the claim to Toyota corporate, it's not a corporate defect, it's a Handy Toyota failed paint repair. we will see how this settles out. hopefully not with Vermont's attorney general consumer assistance program (C.A.P.) More
