Took 3 hours to replace front brake pads & rotors and do a tire rotation.. I also requested an update to the infotainment firmware to address some performance issues that are corrected on later versions of a tire rotation.. I have been having the blank screen issue when changing gears from reverse to drive or park. Putting it back into reverse or restarting the car sometimes restores function. The computer sometimes randomly freezes and reboots. And occasional wireless CarPlay connectivity issues. These issues are all addressed in the newer firmware. The car still has the original factory firmware version 74.00.200 NA N. There have been 2 or 3 firmware updates released by Mazda since I purchased this car and this is at least the second time I have requested software updates to be installed and it has not been done. Service advisor told me the tech, George or maybe Jorge, checked and said I have the latest software. I do not. I am aware that the latest software version is 74.00.324 NA N. I know the software update process is annoyingly slow on these cars and requires a lot of attention to ensure it goes correctly, but it is unacceptable to lie about it being on the latest version and leave the car with buggy out-of-date software just because you have other jobs in the shop to get done. I’ve owned 7 Mazdas over the last 20 years, most of the purchased at this dealership, but this kind of stuff is a black eye for the brand’s perception. The brake job and tire rotation work that the tech did do was good and I have no complaints on that except for how long it took. More

Nick Mudd did not call back when he said he would- on multiple occasions- my vehicle was there for 2 weeks this time. I have owned the vehicle for 6 months and have had 2 check engine issues.
