I am really sorry you feel we tried to do a service not needed. Yes your book states 5 years to be replaced if not replaced before then. General motors requires us to inspect that fluid in this sub tropical high humidity area on a vehicles 3rd oil change or 24,000 miles because moisture gets in the system. Although brake fluid lives in a sealed system and can survive for years, but moisture from the surrounding air can work its way in through hoses and other parts of the brake system. If your brake fluid has become dirty or contaminated, it can change how your brake system operates — brake pedal feel can be affected, as can heat dissipation in repeated stops. Water in the brake lines lowers the boiling point of the fluid, so stopping ability can diminish in hard stops as heat in the system increases. In addition, over time the moisture can cause internal corrosion in the brake lines, calipers, the master cylinder and other components. when we inspected to fluid it was dark and when tested showing a high moisture content. We stand behind our findings but still understand your thoughts. also please note the vehicle was build in the beginning of 2017 and would make the fluid 4 years old. The vehicle was purchased in Illinois and more than half the miles were driven there so your sub tropical high humidity explanation isn't valid. And if moisture gets into the system that easily perhaps I should look for another make or model or move back to Illinois. Please don't lecture me on how old the vehicle is as I already know and I bought a Cadillac because of the service warranty and I usually trade in before the end of that period. What was stated to me was "The fluid is dark and dirty and GM recommends replacing it at 24,000 miles" That is the unethical part.

Sorry for the inconvenience. You aftermarket extended warranty stressed that we need to use a OEM part which was on backorder. We ordered and because of the times we are living in these days the part was taking its own sweet time getting here. We do have one today that was ordered for someone that is not have there car worked on till January that we can use to repair your vehicle but still today we do not have yours. The adviser was trying to call you to complete job if you and reach back out to him. Thank you
