I bought a used car from Koons in 2005 and it was never disclosed to me that the vehicle had been in an accident, with frame damage, in 2003. I called Koons in 2010 to trade in the vehicle and they wanted disclosed to me that the vehicle had been in an accident, with frame damage, in 2003. I called Koons in 2010 to trade in the vehicle and they wanted nothing to do with it. All they could give me would be $1000 for a car I paid $20000 for five years ago. Also, the vehicle was said to be 'certified' which means they knew exactly what they were selling and just hoping to get away with. Unfortunately for me, I'm stuck with a bad carfax on a beautiful car and Koons would like to sweep me under the rug. I will NEVER shop Koons again and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone! More
I went looking for a 2010 F150. I just came off a terrible experience with Darcars and was in no mood to play games. I had heard not too good things about Koons Annapolis, but I must say I was very h terrible experience with Darcars and was in no mood to play games. I had heard not too good things about Koons Annapolis, but I must say I was very happy when I left. The whole experience was straight-up. I had to work a little harder for a better trade-in, but I expect that. The only bad issue was some other salespersons arguing with each other, using pretty colorful language. If my wife had been with me, I would have left. My salesman was not present when that happened, but apologized profusely when I told him. I had my own financing, so no issues there. I did a lot of research before I went shopping. 6 months later and I am completely happy with my truck, and my experience there. I will return there this spring and give them first shot at selling me an Edge. More
You ever go someplace and it's like they are doing you a favor by taking your money? That's how I felt with my dealings with this car dealership. I went to look for a used car, preferably a Focus because i favor by taking your money? That's how I felt with my dealings with this car dealership. I went to look for a used car, preferably a Focus because i didn't have a whole lot of money and I wanted something that would be inexpensive but reliable. I looked around the lot and I will give them credit on this - someone came up to me in a short time and asked me what I was looking for. That's where the good service ended. I told him I didn't want to spend more than $8,000 which may not be a lot to him but it is to me because I am a student. He proceeded to show me cars that were in the $15,000 range and I told him that was twice as much as I wanted to spend. He said "don't worry, you can finance a better car. All you have to do is go longer in the term of the loan". I told him that wasn't the point and he said and I'm not kidding "What's your point then. Do you want to buy a cheap car or a good car?" I told him that I thought his approach was terrible and that I was going to leave. He then said for me to wait and that he would show me cars in the price range I was looking for. At that point I said that I want a good and inexpensive car and apparently they dont have that based on what he said before. I drove to Columbia and visited Apple Ford and got what I wanted and felt like a Queen the way I was treated by them. All I can say is that maybe I just got a bad salesmen or whatever but based on what I have read on here, it seems I am not alone with my bad experience. More
Young salesman I thought I could trust, and his finance guy, snuck in a $2700 extended warranty with the clear implication that they were giving it to me without charging for it. My fault? Yes, because I guy, snuck in a $2700 extended warranty with the clear implication that they were giving it to me without charging for it. My fault? Yes, because I looked at the paperwork but didn't really pay attention to the loan amount while I chatted away with the business manager and signed on the dotted lines. I'm going to leave out a lot of the details leading up to the deal because it would take too long to explain, but here is the bottom line: when a salesman comes to you with a monthly payment scrawled on a plain piece of paper, ask right then and there to see the loan amount and what's included in it. The business manager here is very nice and very detailed and you don't want to get into a personal conversation and forget to look at your loan amount before you sign the paperwork. My bad. More

I spoke with Mr. John and scheduled an appointment to test drive. He was a pleasure to work with and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, even more so than me, and I'd been researching the vehicle for many months. Everything about the purchase was easier than I had thought it would be. Mr. John was great, as was the young lady Mrs. Heather who prepared my paperwork. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. More
Don't waste your time. I called Koon's of Annapolis to confirm the price on a used Honda Accord listed on Cars.com. I asked Bruce Otto if any other fees applied in addition to tax, title and license. He confirm the price on a used Honda Accord listed on Cars.com. I asked Bruce Otto if any other fees applied in addition to tax, title and license. He said that the Maryland State Inspection (MSI) had not been performed and that the fee would not apply since I live in Virginia. I arranged an appointment to test drive the car. When I arrived Bruce said that he would pull the car around. I waited 10 minutes and then saw him waving me over to the service center. He told me that his management required a MSI and lead me to one of the bays. To my suprise the car was up on the lift with one wheel off and a service technician busily working under the car. As we left the sevice center, Bruce said that a tire needed to be replaced. After some additional discussion, he said the MSI would be $275. Bruce should have been up front about all costs when I called him. The car should have been ready for a test drive when I arrived. I told him that under the circumstances that I could not trust him and that I would not do business with someone I could not trust. I departed as he yelled my name across the dealerhip lot looking to "make a deal." If you are expecting honesty from your car dealer, please look elsewhere. More
The reason I have given this dealership such a high rating is...... Let me start from the beginning. I had been looking for a used vehicle , either an SUV or a sedan, for almost six months. Because thi rating is...... Let me start from the beginning. I had been looking for a used vehicle , either an SUV or a sedan, for almost six months. Because this was my first car buying experience, I did my research, my comparison - both car vs. car, car vs SUV, year model comparison, and price comparison. I went to a free car buying seminar here at Johns Hopkins Hospital, which they offer to employees and EVERYONE ELSE, where they teach you the in's and out's of the car buying experience, the "tricks". They also teach you about financing, GAP Insurance and everything else that is tied in to buying either a new or used vehicle. So with that knowledge, I started looking profusely. In the very beginning of my search, I really liked the Ford Fusion. So with that in mind, this is what I had finally decided was the right vehicle for me. I started looking online, driving by dealerships, even looking in the Auto-Trader. Then by mistake, while I was calling to inquire about another Fusion, I stumbled across the very attentive ear of Gary Stock -Koons Ford Annapolis- (Preowned Vehicles). Unfortunately, the car I was inquiring about had been sold, but he did tell me there were other Fusions on the lot. I made it very clear that I was not buying anything then. I only wanted to look, and to not pull any of that car salesman "stuff" on me. When I got to the dealership, I was greeted by someone in the lobby, and he had Gary paged for me. Gary was very nice. Very professional. Very patient - because let me tell you- I am a southern born and bred woman, I am not of the easiest to persuade. Then I found the car that was the right price and the most practical!! Gary walked me through the entire process. I did my financing somewhere else besides Koons, but he did get me the best price for my trade in, (my stubborness helped with this). And the other staff were very nice and somewhat professional, they were not pushy and I never once heard profanity come out of any of their mouths and in spite of what the other reviews have said of this dealership, I was 100% satisfied with my experience. I love my new 2009 Ford Fusion SE. It's a beautiful, affordable, practical, comfortable vehichle. This is my advice to either the 1st car buyer, the veteran car buyer, and everyone else in between - DO YOUR RESEARCH! KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! DON'T ALLOW TO BE PUSHED AROUND - YOU DO THE PUSHING (but nicely) DON'T BE AFRAID TO WALK AWAY! Also, GO SEE THE KOONS FORD OF ANNAPOLIS FAMILY, ASK FOR GARY STOCK, THEY WILL TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF YOU!!! More
I went to Koons Ford because they had a good selection and I found a vehicle and was quoted an internet price. When I arrived about halfway through the process I was informed that the Internet price that and I found a vehicle and was quoted an internet price. When I arrived about halfway through the process I was informed that the Internet price that I had been quoted included every rebate that Ford could offer. In other words I would have to be a full time student, a member of the Quarterhorse association and currently on active duty in Iraq to name a few....all at the same time mind you. I was then handed a piece of paper with three different offers for monthly payments all of which were ridiculos. Nothing was broken down, such as what am I paying for the new vehicle, what are they paying me for trade on my vehicle. I was just supposed to agree and be on my way apparently, no interaction from the sales manager who was too busy practicing his golf swing in full view of all the customers. The entire staff was very unprofessional and they seemed more interested in arguing over who was best at what, it was more like the boys at the corner pub no professional work ethic whatsoever. I wish that I would have looked up reviews online for this dealership I most certainly would have gone elsewhere. It's truly a shame because I do believe that Ford is putting out an amazing product only to be represented by these clowns. More
I wanted a used subcompact. From Cars.com, I saw that Koons had a couple Toyota Yarises on the lot and a few others. I wanted to test drive. No one approached me. No one helped me. I finally asked someon Koons had a couple Toyota Yarises on the lot and a few others. I wanted to test drive. No one approached me. No one helped me. I finally asked someone and he told me the Yaris was being driven right then. He was not interested in telling me about other cars and didn't seem to know what they had and how much they were. It was a very unusual experience. I had visited several used car lots in Annapolis before coming there and this was just weird. So me, my wife, and son just left, after driving out to try out a car. Weird. More
I just purchased a used 2010 Ford Mustang from that location. The used cars sales manager of location has given me the worst treatment i have ever received from a person. He repeatedly said the F- word location. The used cars sales manager of location has given me the worst treatment i have ever received from a person. He repeatedly said the F- word during our conversation and yelled at me repeatedly. His name is Chuck Dove. terrible sales man and very insulting. After i asked him to stop yelling at me, his voice got even louder and kicked me out of the office while saying the F-word. I have received horrible services and i will make sure his management will hear of it. More
