Hi again Tawnya, we’ve called you a few times but haven’t heard back. Our records show that you purchased a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe in May 2022. At that time, we performed a used car inspection (in May 2022) and the vehicle showed no issues. When you purchased the Santa Fe on 5/28, it has 61,827 miles and during your last visit on 11/9 it had miles. Which means there’s been 10,000 miles put on the vehicle in 5 1/2 months. And CarFax shows no record of oil changes during that time. Our records show that you brought the vehcile in on Monday November 9 and stated that the vehicle was using excessive oil. We did a diagnostic on the vehicle and no leaks were found. We did not charge you for the diagnostic. Currently Hyundai has a recall on engines burning oil so we show that we informed you that you can take your vehicle there to get the issue fixed for Free. Since it is a Hyundai vehicle, you do have to take it to a Hyundai dealer for recalls. Your service advisor also stated that he printed out a bulletin about oil consumption issues and paperwork that the Hyundai coverage transfers to next vehicle owner (which is you). I assure you I’ve changed the oil, how else would I know that it’s loosing oil! My problem is nobody bothered to inform me of any issues on a car I was going to purchase, but as soon as I brought it in it was known then, I’m sure that’s just a coincidence though right? And there was also an open recall on it as well but no worries, I’ve made an appointment with Hyundai, I just won’t recommend a dealership to anyone that wasn’t upfront about known issues on a vehicle they’re going to sell someone ! Typical though:/

Hi again Tawnya, in regard to the open recall on this vehicle and whether or not our dealership informed you...we have paperwork with the entire CarFax report and your signature stating that you reviewed and received a copy of the CarFax Vehicle History Report and it's dated 5/28/2022. Our policy is to present the CarFax report for every single used vehicle that we sell to the purchaser and to have the customer sign off to show proof that we did disclose everything about the vehicle to the customer. You were given a copy of this paperwork when you purchased the vehicle, but we can also send you another copy for your records if you'd like, just let us know. Our goal is to communicate everything to our customers to the best of our ability, and in this case, we do have proof that we did so. Thanks!
