Service has been excellent no complaints about handy Toyota. I am waiting for notification that my replacement part for my box cover that broke is in so I can get the cover fixed. I would never recommend doing business with Handy's Downtown ever! I went and looked at a car we wanted to purchase. we called about it, they set up an appointment, we went and test drove it, we told Downtown ever! I went and looked at a car we wanted to purchase. we called about it, they set up an appointment, we went and test drove it, we told him that we would take it, we gave them all of the information within minutes of them asking, the financing was approved, the salesman called me at 5:00 to tell us we were approved and asked if we could do the paperwork tomorrow… less than an hour later general manager, Mason Maltaiscalled me to say I’m very sorry your salesman did not realize that there was another person that was already looking at the vehicle. It is not available to you any longer. I thought that was a little strange, considering that if you’ve ever been inside handy downtown, it’s not very big… It was hard for me to understand how the finance department didn’t know that they were looking at financing for two different people on the same vehicle. I had many questions. And I’m pissed at this point. This morning I receive a phone call from our salesman, a phone call he did not have to make, a phone call that I very much appreciate but now I’m even more pissed. He proceeds to tell me that while my financing was being finalized, another customer came in and drove the car and because the dealership was going to make more money on the other customer, the general manager made the decision to give customer number two my car! He then tells me he’s probably going to lose his job for being honest with me he could not in good conscience Let this go without me knowing what really happened and that the right thing to do would be to tell customer number two that if deal number one falls through then you will get first chance at the car. The general manager Mason then called me this morning and continued his lie, when I called him out on his lie his backpedaling began… And I got well the other customer was in the showroom, I explained to him that this wasn’t about geography. It was about morals and integrity, which clearly he has neither. I think he thought I was kidding when I told him that I would be writing a bad review on every single one of the review sites attached to their website: Dealer Rater, Google, Facebook, Cars.com , and, Edmonds. I ended the call with telling him what a slimy xxxxxxxx I thought he was and that I hope that the ownership promotes my salesman Frank to the GM’s job because he certainly deserves it. I guess that D- rating on the BBB is well deserved ! More
