Great service, worked with the existing dealer that caused issues to my vehicle. Only complaint I have is their rental car policy instead of a loaner being provided that is included in a warranty claim caused issues to my vehicle. In the 9 years I have been CCT service center this is the first time I had a horrible experience in what is normally a pleasant experience. The service advisor, Raven, did try and make sure I needed the prop first time I had a horrible experience in what is normally a pleasant experience. The service advisor, Raven, did try and make sure I needed the proper service, however, we must have gotten our wires crossed in regards to time expectations. I was only asked if I was dropping off, to which what am I supposed to answer? no, I am staying in my car until it is worked on? Not one time was I asked if was going to wait on the car to be serviced. It was assumed that I was going to leave it there until closing. The next issue, I had told Raven that there was a screw in the top tread of the tire. Without even looking at it, she immediately said it probably can’t be repaired and that the tire would need to be replaced. Since I bought the tires there, she quoted me $35 to replace a tire. I asked her to please check with a service tech as a screw in the top tread can usually be easily repaired. She said she would make sure they inspect it, but was certain the tire would need to be replaced. I was still quite skeptical. The other work I needed was a tire rotation and a service recall. This was at 11:30a.m. After a few hours, at about 2:30p.m., Raven comes into the lounge and informs me that a technician did look at the tire and it indeed needed to be replaced and that they mounted the tires and should be finishing up shortly. At around 3:45p.m. I go to check on the status of my car and I see it still sitting in the back lot. I ask Raven how much longer until they are done and she says they are still working on it and I ask why is it still sitting in the back if they are still working on it and she says that it’s still waiting for a tech to come and get it. I then ask for my car with the work already completed and she tells me that they haven’t done any work to the car, to which I inquire as then why did she tell me over an hour ago that they were mounting the tires and it would be ready shortly? She then deflects and remarks that I said I was dropping it off with the understanding that it would be finished at 5:00pm when they close. I then ask, again, how long it was going to be to do the tire rotation and service recall on the battery. She called the tech and said it would be about an hour to do just the service recall, not even including the tire rotation and mind you it was already nearing 4:00pm that day. So I don’t even see how it could be finished by 5p.m. anyway. Needless to say I was extremely frustrated and disappointed that I had essentially wasted my entire day up there and didn’t manage to have any work done on the car. I demanded my car back and left. I went to a local tire shop and had them look at the tire with the screw in it and in 20 minutes they had it repaired and they even said the screw did not even puncture the tire deep enough to cause a leak. So now I am even more furious that I was LIED to about the repairability of the tire and that no one at your shop even bothered to look at it, y’all just wanted to sell me a new tire and it wasn’t even at the price of $35 that Raven had quoted originally. Before I left with my car, she still offered to sell me the tire, but place it in the trunk so when I come back, they’ll have it already to replace. When I asked how much, the price was now over $57. I said no thanks. This experience has me seriously questioning whether or not I will continue to have my Toyota’s serviced there. I did not appreciate being lied to and fleeced out of money for unnecessary replacement parts. Absolutely disappointing and disgusting. More
