Requested only an oil change, but rep said additional services were needed, costing $160, instead of expected $46 from mail received oil change coupon received from dealer. Rep did NOT give me the option services were needed, costing $160, instead of expected $46 from mail received oil change coupon received from dealer. Rep did NOT give me the option of choosing ONLY an oil change, giving me a $10 discount due to coupon. Receipt states: "customer requests a 30K mile service", which is NOT true. I love dealing with their sales team, but have several poor experiences with service team. More
Bad experience with this dealership. Had a 9AM appt for service. The appt was made by Austin. I arrived early 8:30a and was checked in by David Cobb. Austin was not in until 9a. Asked if any pro service. The appt was made by Austin. I arrived early 8:30a and was checked in by David Cobb. Austin was not in until 9a. Asked if any problem coming in early to which I was told no. At 12:00 I checked with Austin as I was told the service would take 1-1/2 hrs. Austin told me no one told him my car was there and they had not started on the service. David Cobb has not left any notice to Austin. He dropped the ball. Within the hour my service was done thanks to Austin. Not a good way to start a relationship with this dealership. It was my first visit. More
We have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership in the last 4 years. We have used this dealership for all the service for those new cars. Yesterday, my 20 YO daughter brought her car in because it was m last 4 years. We have used this dealership for all the service for those new cars. Yesterday, my 20 YO daughter brought her car in because it was making a strange noise. After a few hours the technician came out and told her it needed some repairs that were somewhat costly. She asked a couple questions and then the technician said give me a second. Thirty minutes later he came back and didn’t give her any written estimate or summary. She researched the cost of the repair online and found that Toyota was about 25% higher than another mechanic that we trust. The technician returned, she told him she was going to take it somewhere else. He was visibly angry. He complained that he had to put the car back together and would need to work late. She said he was pretty rude to her. He didn’t give her a summary of the recommended service even after she paid for the diagnostics. He basically wrote her off when she declined over priced service. I have always felt like the service center employees at this dealership didn’t like Thier job or didn’t like interacting with customers. But they have always completed the service effectively. I will no longer bringing my vehicle in for service at this dealership. I wouldn’t recommend this service center for work in the future. There are too many other reputable service locations in the area who value my and my friends business. More
I had been going to this Toyota dealership for over 8 years and for several of my cars, including toyotas and other brands. It wasn't until my last car going to this shop that they lost all integrity and years and for several of my cars, including toyotas and other brands. It wasn't until my last car going to this shop that they lost all integrity and my trust. My vehicle (not a toyota) hit a pothole and needed repair but was still driveable. Prior to coming to CC Toyota, I called Chris and asked him if they were comfortable working on a this issue for a non-Toyota. He said sure, bring it in. They reviewed the issue, said they could fix it, and proceeded to replace the strut and strut top. Afterward, the drive was fine except for a noticeable popping noise everytime I initially cut the wheel and drive the car. After 3 more visits to assess the popping noise, they told me they should have never worked on a non- Toyota and that I was out of luck because to them, the repair was satisfactory and my complaint was cosmetic. I have since taken my business elsewhere for everything I'll ever need with my cars - But to know that this is the behavior they demonstrate to a years-long, good standing customer over an $800 repair was purely unprofessional and thoughtless. I'll never forget it. More
I drove into this dealership for my routine oil change / maintenance. I also needed some front brake replacement and disc sanding to make it straight since it was shaking when I step on the break going down maintenance. I also needed some front brake replacement and disc sanding to make it straight since it was shaking when I step on the break going downhill. They proposed a service to flush the brake fluid and power steering fluid in addition because my car is old, has move than 320k miles on it which I agreed - total job would cost me slightly over 260 .. this might not be entirely accurate because I don't have my invoice in front of me. Problem 1: Once on the job, they noticed a break seal leak on my rear left wheel - would cost me an additional $460 for labor plus parts and I would have to part with 1300 (approximately). It was a lot of money but I agreed. They would lease for me a car for the 24hrs it would take to fix my truck, Problem 2. in approximately an hour, they called me to inform me that once they opened the seal, they noticed that the seal is bad but the main problem was an inside bearing which caused the seal to break. I would need to part with an additional 550 (approximately) and said no charge for labor. In total I would part with 1700 (approximately). This was too much for me. I declined that job. I also reversed the brake flashing job and power steering job in addition to the seal job - (problem 1) because I believed that if the seal was not the problem (which is already leaking because of problem 2 (bearing), that the main problem to be fixed is the bearing problem job. Of course they charged me to labor for seal labor even though I declined the seal installation. I ended up paying for a job which was not the cause of the problem. Of course knowing that you never win with a dealership, I hesitantly requested to speak with a service manager who works with the guy on the service department who managed my work (bob) and of course they side together and had to pay 720 (approx) for (oil change, tire rotation and, brake job - 260) plus 460 (labor for problem 1). I understood their position, they told me my car is old, high miles .. all those stuff to justify their point of keeping my 460 - of course you never win an argument with a dealership - read the reviews and complains, you'll know what I am talking about. They have guys trained to answer and respond. I know something - dealing with a car maintenance is very stressful because we don't understand what's going on in the car therefore we need someone who will see from your side too and not take advantage - and cobb county Toyota is not somewhere you'll get that. There are people who are happy - good luck with that. But for me and my family, my business is done with them. I will try another dealership for my car maintenance and services for the cars we have. My car was damaged during 60,000mile service, service manager Zach Claybrooks refused to investigate the damage, only to claim” didn’t happen here”. Very poor experience here. They act like they are helpful, then work is more than estimate, repair isn't done right, or they really won't help. My last 3 services visits all had issues. 1.) put wr helpful, then work is more than estimate, repair isn't done right, or they really won't help. My last 3 services visits all had issues. 1.) put wrong battery in truck and incorrectly diagnosed battery as issue. I still get slow starts with new battery (they don't care they charged for new battery and it wasn't the issue 2.) did warranty work without permission 3.) air injector pump failed while in warranty, but not diagnosed until just after warranty expired. They would not even call toyota for assistance with cost $2400. We all make mistakes, but they didn't care to fix or resolve. Todd, service manager, is unhelpful. Instead of calling toyota, he lectures me on how toyota doesn't cover repairs outside of warranty. I wouldn't have asked him to call toyota, if the issue didn't happen during warranty. Tough dealership to work with, I would pick another one in town. More

I loved the sales person we bought the car from. I am really unsure about service department. Right now I can't rate them well. I had an appointment for 5000 mile service. I was told it was a little over really unsure about service department. Right now I can't rate them well. I had an appointment for 5000 mile service. I was told it was a little over an hour wait. I am at two hours now and no car. I am seriously rethinking whether we will continue with their service department after our maintenance year is up. Allegedly, our receipt got misplaced by another employee. Mr. Cooper said he would investigate. If my husband hadn't gone to check on car we would still be there. More
Service Mgr -Needs Training In Customer Service My 2016 Toyota Tacoma was leaking through the back 3rd light brake light . I discovered (to my dismay) that this defect (defect is my description si My 2016 Toyota Tacoma was leaking through the back 3rd light brake light . I discovered (to my dismay) that this defect (defect is my description since I have no culpability in the cause of the leak and Toyota has issued a Technical Service Bulletin on this issue) is not covered past 36k miles or 3 years. Repair cost is $600 ($150 for the part and $450 for installation). I expressed to Cobb Co Toyota that this did not seem like a fair deal and expressed my dissatisfaction. The service manager (Todd) called Toyota (on my behalf) and they were willing to offer "Good Will" and pay for the part ($150 of the $600). I was not happy/excited/satisfied with this resolution and conveyed this to Todd. He responded that "personally" he did not think I was appreciative of Toyota's "Good Will" offer and that he was considering rescinding the offer so that he could use with another customer (and notified me that he checked my customer records to review my purchase history with their service dept!) Really?? He advised that the next steps for me was to contact Toyota Corporate. Well...2 case numbers and 3 days later (basically, a waste of time) Toyota informed me that once the dealership had received a Good Will offer they could not offer additional help. Prior to calling Toyota Corporate, I specifically had asked Todd if there was even a chance that Toyota would provide additional help. He responded yes. Evidently, he was misinformed on Toyota's policies. After this resolution, I called Todd and let him know that after exhausting all measures, my decision was to go ahead and repair the light. He said he would "reluctantly" not rescind the $150 Good Will offer from Toyota and "personally" was "disappointed" that I was not satisfied with his willingness "to go to bat" for me. Personally he was disappointed that I was only coming back to him after exhausting all measures. In the future, Cobb Co Toyota can use the "Good Will" on a more valued customer who is excited and thankful to pay $450 of a $600 charge for a Toyota defect. More
