We were very excited to use Carvana to purchase our used car, but unfortunately we were unhappy with our experience. Everything leading up to our pickup appointment day went great. Every representative I spoke to on the phone was kind and helpful and the online submission of all necessary documents went smoothly. As for our appointment, we arrived on time and then waited 25 minutes for someone to be available to work with us. We chose to drive to Carvana to get the whole vending machine experience as opposed to having the car delivered. When we arrived, the vehicle we were purchasing was pulled into a parking space by the door and that's where it stayed until we left in it. No car vending machine experience for us! I found it strange that we were doing a trade-in and no one even looked at the car we were trading in before we left. Also, we signed all the papers and then when we asked about doing a test drive, we were told that we didn't need to come back because the paperwork was done and then were handed the keys. When we got in to drive home, I turned around to look at the interior for the first time and immediately noticed used bottle caps and trash under the back seat. I guess I assumed the car would have been cleaned prior to us picking up the car. At first I thought maybe that was just a spot that got missed. Unfortunately, I continued to find trash in the door bins including dirty masks, sanitizer bottles, chewed gum hardened and stuck to the bottom, gum wrappers, caramel corn kernels, various other wrappers, and things I scrubbed clean that I'll never know what they were. I wiped the leather seats down with simple cleaning wipes and watched them change colors back to the gray they were supposed to be. I vacuumed crumbs out of every seat crack and cup holders. I spent 2 hours cleaning the car at home to get it to a point I felt comfortable with my young kids exploring around in it touching everything. I really believe that if the same car had been sold to us from a different dealership, it would have at least been cleaned. I wanted to love our first Carvana experience but after having the experience that we did, I'm not so sure we'll be back next time. More
Totally cool how you can look up vehicles. I did my part and because carvana had missed communication on their side, I end up missing out on my delivery date. I do not like speaking with multiple people and not one of them are on the same page. I did end of getting a vehicle. I believe the vehicle was overpriced because pictures online did not show any flaws (I believe the person selling car to carvana played a part) the vehicle had quite a few flaws that I think should have been mentioned online but at least all the things I point out, carvana had me put in a ticket to have them fixed. Overall you cannot beat how fast you find a vehicle. You are not sitting in a dealership all day. You can search from home, work, park or on your break. I love how I do not have to deal with a salesman. The delivery or pickup of your vehicle is less than 30 minutes. That is totally outstanding 👏. He spent well over an hour on the phone with me. He was very professional, patient, he LISTENED to me, he was considerate, he even called me back after I hung up by accident. He is outstanding!! This was the most smooth buying experience I ever had. When I first got my car and started driving it, it was smoking very badly. Checking into it, the oil cap was not put on properly and oil was pumping out onto the manifold. Windshield wiper fluid was also smoking very badly. Checking into it, the oil cap was not put on properly and oil was pumping out onto the manifold. Windshield wiper fluid was also open, but not causing any issues, of course. So, whoever is doing that piece, topping off fluids, needs to check after their work. More
I would not recommend! The 1st car I purchased had a check engine, service engine soon and tire sensor lights on. I swapped to a different car within the 7 day return policy. There was delays on the delivery of the 2nd car multiple times. I received the 2nd car and it has issues too! The 2nd car has issues with the cv joints. I called Silverrock and Carvana within the 7 day return window. Silverrock stated this issue may not be covered. Carvana sells horrible cars because this issue should have been found prior to the car been delivered as they do a 150 point inspection on cars. Do your homework and believe the reviews! RUNNNNNNN! All Carvana agents can do is apologize for your experience. More
