I've spent hours and hours on hold or waiting in their webchat. They consistently do not directly answer questions or provide solutions and then just leave the webchat. I purchased the car and had it delivered in NM but needed to register in California. When I bought the car they told me I would have to drive to California for a smog inspection when things re-open (due to COVID). When receiving the car, I was told I would also need a VIN inspection but that I could do that in NM. After attempting to do that at the local motor vehicles department, I was told I also had to do it in CA. Since I had to go for the smog test anyway, I was OK with that and planned to make the drive (10hrs each way) once the services opened. I started getting tons of emails every day from Carvana about potential fees and fines if I didn't get the registration documents. It took hours on hold and multiple webchat sessions for them to acknowledge and confirm that I could wait until the DMV was open in California. As soon as it did reopen, I drove to California and completed the inspections. According to the website, the smog test could be scanned and uploaded and they needed the original copy of the VIN inspection mailed. I did both and I sent the VIN inspection using the prepaid envelope they sent. The VIN inspection has been lost in the mail for weeks and they have no tracking information on the label they sent. The customer service keeps blaming me for not recording the tracking number. Now I am going to have to drive back to California for another VIN inspection. But the worst part is their customer service continually provides wrong or inconsistent information, makes you wait in very long queues, and does not acknowledge your issues or complaints. I suspect it's semi-automated even once you get past the part that is openly automated because they often just repeat the same few lines even when you ask for more details or explain something further. I would strongly suggest avoiding this company! More
We purchased 2017 Ford Explorer it was fast and easy to purchase . We did have a problem with brakes but was resolved through silver rock warranty . Price aside, it was an extremely streamlined / simple process and dealing with a nationally recognized company also offered security (lots of scammers out there). Very glad I was contacted by Ian, a buyer, who submitted my vehicle for appraisal. And even more glad that I opted to sell to Carvana. Would definitely recommend! More

The vehicle came very clean and sanitized due to COVID-19 right now. With Carvana, there is not any pressure to buy or what to buy, as with a dealership/sales rep. This is completely a customer service based experience where they just want you to be happy with the vehicle you chose. The only issue that should be looked more into is verifying bank funds. My bank was unable to link with Plaid, and so they had to call their customer service line which is a pain if you have to work and can’t sit on hold with them. Finally someone told me about a cashiers check two days later, which ended up pushing back my original delivery date two days. I think there should be more ways to confirm money, or let the customer make their down payment ahead of time since it would be returned anyway if the vehicle is not accepted. Shoutout to Carlos in AZ-he’s pretty amazing! I’m in FL so we’re on different schedules, but if he makes a promise to call back when he gets into work, he does it. He will go above and beyond. More

Great car even though the "Hot Spots" in views were missed I was looking forward to my "new to me" 2019 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Emails from Carvana leading up to the delivery were fun and built up my anti I was looking forward to my "new to me" 2019 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. Emails from Carvana leading up to the delivery were fun and built up my anticipation. The car arrived just like the commercial with a very polite and helpful customer advocate to assist in completing the paperwork that was drafted beforehand. (Friendliness = Excellent) Unfortunately there was obvious cosmetic damage to the vehicle above and beyond what was called out on the website. I was given the option of not accepting delivery or starting a repair/warranty claim. I chose to accept the vehicle and file a claim since the issues were cosmetic. (Quality of Work = Poor) "Vehicle Hot Spot Annotation Department" This is where Carvana Customer Service, in my opinion, fell short. As "new owner" of the car, I worked with the warranty administrator and the auto body shop to complete the needed repairs. Navigating this process was difficult but it all worked out. (Customer Service = Average) I am happy with the vehicle and the price was good. I have scheduled to get fixed under warranty. (Price = Good) The 360 views are nice but Carvana needs to make sure they call out the worst "Hot Spots". More
