Not a good experience. The short version: Due to several issues with the vehicle that were not disclosed prior to the sale we elected to return the car. We initiated the process within hours of it arriving at our house and were told it was likely our payment wouldn't be deducted from our account - it was. Several phone calls and 5 business days later we hadn't seen any activity and were told that their process is 3-5 days to begin processing the return and another 3-5 days to actually return our money. This was not disclosed to us at any point and created a massive headache. The logistics and ease of buying were great, however, we felt that the lack of transparency around their process, difficulty in getting an answer from their customer service team, and issues with the vehicle that weren't disclosed were problematic. Car was delivered with front brakes worn to the metal, despite "passing" the 150 point inspection. I sought reimbursement for the brake pad expense from Carvana, and they opened a case for me. However, they only sent me an email saying that I could bring it to a SilverRock repair facility to get it repaired (a useless option, as I already got it repaired), and they closed the case as "completed." Every call to follow-up required a 30minute wait time, and the call-back option appears to be non-functional. Apparently, the inspection process is outsourced, so the quality of the car inspection may vary. I now also wonder what other items from 150 point inspection was lazily approved? Pros: registration, delivery, and other paperwork to actually get the car was a breeze. The car price was fair (other than getting ripped off on the brakes). More
This was the most exciting way to buy my car. I was able to view what was available and select the one I wanted. I did not believe it would come but it did on the day they said. I love buying my cars through carvana, I live the Jeep I got. The guy that brought me my Jeep was great and very professional. The only thing I was upset about I didn't get a cup like I did when we bought m got. The guy that brought me my Jeep was great and very professional. In my humble opinion, more pleasant than purchasing through the dealership. In fact, I had intended to buy or lease through the dealer, but between the unmasked sales person, with a bit of an attitude and an unwillingness to search for the color of car I wanted, and the ease of dealing with Car van a, it was an easy decision which way to go.
