The site is straight forward. The hidden fees come as an interest is rate higher that the bank rate by .5% - 1 % , just enough to make you take their offer - but you do pay more there. interest is rate higher that the bank rate by .5% - 1 % , just enough to make you take their offer - but you do pay more there. The experience selecting a car and getting approved for purchase was quick and easy. BUT once they have you locked in things change. They do not keep you up to date on the status and even though they say t purchase was quick and easy. BUT once they have you locked in things change. They do not keep you up to date on the status and even though they say they will call/text with updates unless you keep on them they do not reach out. They are NOT ready to be a nationwide service, they are only able to really show value to those that live in a HUB city. Delivery is done through a THIRD party that they bid out, so once you purchase they wash their hands and you are now in the hands of the LOWEST bidder. Pretty poor customer service post purchase. I do love my car though. More
Overall my experience was positive and with very few hiccups along the way. The car arrived looking like it did on the computer, with the exception of a not so great detailing job inside the vehicle on hiccups along the way. The car arrived looking like it did on the computer, with the exception of a not so great detailing job inside the vehicle on the dashboard/windows, and a floor mat that doesn't fit properly on the drivers side. I did speak with customer service about it and they were ok, but want pictures to prove what I'm saying and since we just had almost 2 feet of snow that's just not happening right now since I can't even get to my car. The reps are very friendly but not always the most knowledgeable, so would be great if they did more thorough training with them. Otherwise, getting the financing was easy, and now I just wait for the registration and hoping that goes smoothly. I will say that my first delivery was cancelled the day of, which was aggravating and I was told it was because my car didn't fit on the truck....seems odd that it wasn't planned out in advance so that wouldn't be an issue, but thankfully it arrived with no issue on the next scheduled delivery date. I will add that the hold time when you call customer service is too long, so hoping they can find a way to remedy that issue as well. I would use Carvana again and am very glad I didn't have to deal with a salesperson at a dealership and go through all of that annoying negotiating. More
If you could do everything at one time would be better. I would think I was done then you would need something else, Then I would get timed out before I could get what you needed. In terms of horrible experiences, this takes the cake. You could actually change the horrible to Carvana, the definition would be the same. Disclaimer this will be lengthy but if you are considering purchasing through Carvana I would highly suggest reading till the end. I am forced to give 1 star. *THE PURCHASE* 3 Options: Finance with them, Pre-Approval, and Cash. They have a high finance interest rate, the higher the monthly payment the lower the rate. 8% average. I did go that route from the beginning with an additional down payment (require to link bank account). No specifications were made in terms of down payment. I received a call later that night to inform me that I would need to have ALL of the down payment in my bank account before I could continue the process. I thought since I had to wait till the next business day to deposit the funds, I would just go ahead and apply for a preapproval loan through my bank since the finance rate was 3.49% instead of Carvanas 8% and edit my order to use the my preapproval instead. The change was accepted. I deposited money the next day and got the green light on the bank account verification. I was contacted the following day and was informed that with the preapproval I would need to fill out the check and send them a picture. This was never mentioned prior. I used Navy Federal for the preapproval and the nearest branch was an hour away, not to mention it was Saturday. I explained that, I was not able to provide that documentation since it is being mailed to me, I lived a distance from the branch, it was the weekend and I had to work the following day. It was suggested to me to take a day off from work and get the check if I really wanted the truck. I called the customer service dept at the bank and they told me they would expedite the check so it would be two days before receiving, he stated he could provide me with a preapproval letter which "should" of been sufficient. NOPE! Had to wait and lose scheduled delivery date. *DELIVERY* Vehicle scheduled for delivery at 1:00, driver arrives 1:35-1:40. Blames traffic. He was polite and gave a run down on the 7 day guarantee, was allowed to test drive before he left. *VEHICLE* The exhaust poured out at least 1 gallon of water, no exaggeration. Vehicle dirty and way more imperfections than pointed out in the AD. Gouges in the bumper driver and passenger, paint transfer, scratches and more chipped paint in many different places, driver bumper, rear fender, driver door, horrible white scuffs on the glovebox and all the doors. The front driver tire was no good, the tread was almost to TWI's (Tread Wear Indicators), told me they would replace if it was deemed to have less than 5/32nds tread left, but then came back and told me that the company you file the claim with may not replace the tire. So which one is it? Took pictures and sent but they stated that they were "to zoomed it" to determine the location of scratches but could clearly see a spare tire hanging, door handle, glovebox, side mirror, front passenger door. It was also delivered with no floor mats. The driver told me one of them had holes in it, so he put in a request for new ones. They will arrive in 3 weeks after your 7 day trial is up. He left me with having to either buy mats, put a something down or just put my dirty shoes on the carpet and if I decided to keep the truck, now I will have dingy carpets. *RETURN* I requested to exchange the vehicle with another that was on the preorder list. NOPE! Can only exchange with vehicles in inventory. I was suggested to return the truck and preorder the one I wanted. Fine I will... Requested to return the vehicle on Sunday, I was messaged back on Monday and was told someone would get in touch to schedule the pickup. No call or messages Monday. Come Tuesday morning I have a Carvana truck here ready to pick up the vehicle. Why can't they deliver that fast? Was never contacted and the driver was lucky I was awake, answered the phone and was home since I just got home from a 12hr shift. DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!! More

Carvana made a sale with me over the phone and online on January 23rd, 2021. At the point of sale, their website asked me to input a routing and account number of either a SAVINGS OR CHECKING. Since I ha January 23rd, 2021. At the point of sale, their website asked me to input a routing and account number of either a SAVINGS OR CHECKING. Since I had over $9,000 in my savings account and less than $500 in a checking account, I chose to input my savings account numbers. This was on a Saturday. On Tuesday the following week, I received an email from them indicating they couldn't draw from my savings - not through any fault of my own or my credit union- and I would need to use the link provided in the email to adjust payment information ... Problem is, when I clicked the link, it asked for debit/credit card information only! I was stumped -maybe I should call them? Then, reading the email in detail, I realized it said...DO NOT CALL, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE ANY PAYMENT OTHER THAN THROUGH THE PROVIDED LINK. Ok. So, now what do I do? After all, all my money was in savings, not my checking account -which was with another institution. So..I texted my field rep, who had brought the car to my house. What shall I do? I asked, and waited for his response. A day later (by this time it is January 28th..still in the 7 day window but well after the date of sale) he said..contact the after sale dept. I did. The after sale dept listened to the sequence of events and I asked him...should I just get a cashier's check from my account and overnight it or should I transfer funds to my checking account even though it could take them a few days to fully realize the $5k? The best bet, he said, is to transfer the money.. that I had until the following Monday to make the payment. Now...over 72 hours later, my checking account has not released the full amount to be available into my balance (even though my credit union indicated the funds were transferred on January 29th) I called Carvana and told them of the situation and asked them if they could take payment via phone from another person's account in order to get this takennd CARVANA is threatening to repossess the car, causing irreparable damage to my credit report! (This is after I tried to make a payment over the phone for the full amount using a cc -they wouldn't take it). On Saturday, a week after I made the sale online and had over $5k available for draw from my savings account, I received an email from Carvana saying that if I didn't make a payment in full for the agreed upon downpayment by the end of the day, they would repossess the car. This has been EXTREMELY stressful and hurtful in that the fact that Carvana could not take the payment from my savings account at the day of sale has not only caused all this grief and potential credit damage, but the car was meant for my 16yr old, who is on the honor roll and never gives me an ounce of grief and this was her sweet sixteen that I'd saved for. Now she is out of a car, my credit is going to be ruined and my faith in ANY used car sales has been completely shattered. So, I DO NOT RECOMMEND CARVANA. I have over $15k anyway, I will just buy a car outright. They lost a great sale and a future customer and I hope everyone listens to these reviews and NEVER buys from Carvana! More
Great experience. I am very pleased with the service and the vehicle. The online feature made buying the vehicle easy and the pickup procedure was easy as well.
