The easiest car buying experience we have ever had! So easy, it didn't feel real. We have bought and re-financed more cars that I would like to admit. Prior to car buying, we looked at other sites and did easy, it didn't feel real. We have bought and re-financed more cars that I would like to admit. Prior to car buying, we looked at other sites and did a bit of research. We settled on what kind of car we wanted and moved forward. We wanted an electric / hybrid car. They are not at all popular in my area. The nearest was 3.5h away! I don't want to drive that far to look at a car. Online we were able to look at many cars, sans going outdoors in negative temps. Or pants! Paperwork was straightforward. Much easier than taxes!! Delivery took 3 business days. The poor deliver driver was stuck in a blizzard but, was not late. The car was in stated, excellent condition and very clean and nice smelling. Being unfamiliar with electric cars there were a few bumps. But, with the return policy I felt comfortable that if I couldn't work it out, return was an option. We are just past the one week mark, settled in, worked the kinks out and, like the car. We have received emails etc. from the finance company. We like the autopayment. More
The initial browsing and purchase processes were slick and easy. After they accepted my money, things became quite a bit more cumbersome. I was told I'd be contacted in 48hrs after signing my purchase con and easy. After they accepted my money, things became quite a bit more cumbersome. I was told I'd be contacted in 48hrs after signing my purchase contract; they didn't reach out until double that time had passed (4 days later). When they did call, I wasn't available to answer and they did not leave a message. I called back and had to wait on hold. When I talked to the rep, she offered to have me pick the car up 2 states away to avoid the delivery charge I agreed to pay. Since this might have worked for me, I asked her for an estimated delivery date, but did not commit to this arrangement. She came back with a date that did not work and I opted to stick with the planned delivery to my home. She then informed me that she had to undo my contract in order to give an estimated delivery date and said I needed to go back in and sign the contract over again. This artificially pushed my timeline (for delivery, registration, return period, etc,) 4 days to the right. I heard nothing for a week. Finally a driver called me and said car would be there tomorrow. On the next day, I am all ready for delivery having rearranged my schedule and started my insurance...only to get a call from the driver who was confused about where I live. I live in Des Moines, Washington. Carvana delivered it to Des Moines, IOWA! Nobody bothered to cross reference my signed contract, which only showed WA, nor did they cross check my zip code, which could have prevented the issue! I called Carvana to discuss this drastic mistake and they did not get back to me until 48hrs later. At that point, they said it would take 1.5 weeks to deliver the car. A week later, a driver calls me and says he'll be there tomorrow (earlier than expected), so once again I rearrange my schedule at last minute. Car was delivered absolutely filthy. Not dirty, but filthy inside and out. Inside had scuff marks all over. Food crumbs, dog hair, and even a fake eyelash in the cup holder. While washing the car I noticed that there were far more dents and dings than disclosed to me. And, the wheel well splash guard in the front right wheel well was missing, exposing components under the hood directly to water and debris from the tire. I am in the process of trying to get them to fix it, which has been very frustrating and time consuming. They said I would get a $50 gift card in the mail to use for cleaning...it hasn't showed. They said the car would have at least 3/4 of a tank of gas, it was empty. After all this trouble and cleaning, I am satisfied with the car, but I will never use Carvana again. More
The only advantage I see for using Carvana is that you can choose from a nationwide inventory of 1-owner, no-accident cars. If you need a car within some time table, it may not be the best option. Delive can choose from a nationwide inventory of 1-owner, no-accident cars. If you need a car within some time table, it may not be the best option. Delivery was delayed 3 times and then when finally delivered there was damage caused by the car carrier along with other issues. I had to deal with SilverRock, their warranty provider and use their approved service providers, and try to coordinate between all three which was very frustrating. They initially had me calling shops that couldn't even do the work. I still don't have these items fixed. If I could do it over again, I would not have even had them unload the carrier and sent the car back. The way that Caravana takes pictures of very minor imperfections give the impression that they are very thoroughly inspecting the vehicle; They are not. There were much more obvious defects than what they pictured. The car also smells like Swisher Sweets, which I don't mind too much, but I think many people would have returned it for that reason alone. If my local dealership had what I was looking for, I definitely would have went that way so I wouldn't have to deal with getting the car into expected condition. More
I love the vehicle I purchased from Carvana. The price was the best I could find anywhere. I checked dealers, online, and through other companies. The purchasing experience was so easy. It took me one nig was the best I could find anywhere. I checked dealers, online, and through other companies. The purchasing experience was so easy. It took me one night to find, get approved for and purchase my vehicle. I then went to the car vending machine and got my vehicle. The kids loved watching our car come out like a bag of frito-lays. The employees we met were amazing as well. They had a gift basket for my husband and I and one for our children. I would recommend Carvana to everyone and anyone. More
This is my first time using an online dealership. I knew what car I wanted and driven it before so I know I was looking for price and color. I found a good deal after much research. My car was delayed and what car I wanted and driven it before so I know I was looking for price and color. I found a good deal after much research. My car was delayed and was only told about the delay the day before so I wasn't too pleased. However, I was able to reschedule for the following week. They arrived on time and it was an easy transaction. They took my trade in and I took the keys to my new car. The customer service was fine but it was difficult to actually get a person on the line. My trade-in payoff was not done correctly and I had to make several phone calls to fix it. I wasn't too happy about that. Overall, I would recommend only if you know what car you want. I did not miss the long hours of negotiating at a car dealership. Such a better option. More
Great experience. Two recommendations-do a better job of informing customers of insurance requirements and cut the hold times for people who are already in the purchase portal. Purchasers should have one ad informing customers of insurance requirements and cut the hold times for people who are already in the purchase portal. Purchasers should have one advocate assigned to them. During the process I probably talked to 6 different advocates. No relationship was built with Carvana or the advocates. More

I purchased a car through Carvana that I have been looking for, for over a year. The model I bought is hard to find in good condition and with low mileage and when both of these criteria are met, they looking for, for over a year. The model I bought is hard to find in good condition and with low mileage and when both of these criteria are met, they are bought very quickly. I was lucky enough to spot one that met both these criteria and purchased it fairly quickly after it was posted on Carvana's site. Carvana was very easy to work with in terms of appraising my trade-in, determining my personal financing rate, and delivery of purchased vehicle. They also picked up my trade-in vehicle during the same delivery appointment. I am in Denver and the car came from Georgia. The process took about 8 days from purchase to delivery. The car I bought was at one of their partner's locations so the 150-point inspection was done by the partner. After I received the vehicle, I took it to a dealer and had an inspection done on the entire car and it's components/systems and the dealership confirmed it was in great condition. The photos and description of the vehicle were very accurate and vehicle arrived as described. The delivery driver, KG, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle. He was very patient and showed me different features of my new vehicle, answered any questions I had, and gave me time to test drive the vehicle. He walked me through all the paperwork once I was ready to finalize the purchase and explained everything I was asked to sign before I signed. Thanks for being an exemplary employee that any company would be lucky to have, KG. Carvana is taking care of all of the registration for me and making sure I can keep my custom plates that were on my old vehicle. The service is slower than if I were to do it myself but it is convenient, therefor I don't mind waiting. They keep me posted on what step of the process they are on so I am in the loop. Customer service is very helpful and friendly, but they do take a while to respond at times. I think the longest I had to wait for a response to a question was around 12-16 hours (hence only 4 stars in this aspect) due to the fact that I contacted them after business hours. But, once I made that initial contact it was like I had a personal text chat with an agent whenever I had a question, which was nice. Carvana did honor the value they offered for my trade-in vehicle. My car was taken care of but had some exterior scratches caused by others in parking lots that were pretty noticeable. My car also had some stains on the interior that were noticeable. My car was a very basic model and missing a lot of creature comforts, even though it was a 2014. None of this devalued my car through Carvana's appraisal after pick up of the vehicle. I did describe my car as honestly as I could using their system and they offered fair market value. I am extremely pleased with Carvana's service and would absolutely recommend it to anyone I personally know that is thinking about purchasing a vehicle. The trick with Carvana is to research and be patient. Carvana goes off of fair market value and that is not changed very much by the condition or mileage of the vehicle they are selling. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what end of that spectrum the vehicle you are purchasing falls on. This is why I say research the vehicle you are thinking about purchasing (Carfax through Carvana made that easy) and be patient to allow the right vehicle to be posted; don't take the first option you find. I waited and got lucky to find the vehicle I wanted, in great condition, with low mileage because I was patient and didn't buy the ones I saw posted over the year I searched. More
I've avoided being in public during the pandemic, and never liked going to the dealership, so I was dreading buying a new car but knew it was time. While waiting to hear back from a local dealership, I d never liked going to the dealership, so I was dreading buying a new car but knew it was time. While waiting to hear back from a local dealership, I decided to check out Carvana. The dealership never got back to me, but with Carvana I literally bought a car from my couch in my pajamas. They give me an instant offer on my old car (even if I wasn't trading it in), and even picked it up when they dropped off the new car. The person who dropped off my car, Beth, was very helpful and respectful of masking/social distancing. She gave me time to test drive the car, went over paperwork with me, and explained the next steps. The only negative I experienced was not being able to get through to an advocate on the phone during the purchase process. I eventually had to just chat my questions and hear back via text. But overall this was the easiest, least stressful car selling/buying experience ever. And you get a 7-day trial period so you can take it to a mechanic, make it sure it's the right fit, etc. I've already recommended Carvana to friends, coworkers, and family. More
I can't be more pleased with the service and communication I received from Carvana... I'll likely never buy from any other dealer / service again! communication I received from Carvana... I'll likely never buy from any other dealer / service again! More
