My experience was very good . I would give 5 stars but had a problem with notifications so delayed my delivery by a week . They apologized customer service was great trying to fix the problem. Then delivery day the driver forgot paperwork and plates so had to go back for an hour drive then an hour back so was stuck at home pretty much all day waiting for process to be done . More
The website process seems easy but the email instructions requiring documents are very vague. Customer service from over the phone and in person was an unpleaseant experience. So far it's a regret, but I'm working with bbb and my attorney. The car passenger door is misaligned, the handle sometimes don't work. Terrible Experience - and costly. Good value on the price, good trade offer, not worth the grief and stress to deal with them. It's all illusory. When they fail to meet the "contract" terms they agre price, good trade offer, not worth the grief and stress to deal with them. It's all illusory. When they fail to meet the "contract" terms they agree to, they simply make you sign a new contract. This happened more than 10 times. So when you feel like you have a deal, you don't. You'll act in reliance on that deal, i.e. get your car ready for trade, complete your financing, pay for insurance, etc. and they will NOT perform under the terms of the contract. This causes potentially very difficult stress, and MONEY. You pay for your loan and don't have the car. You pay for your insurance and don't have the car. You take time off from work, and they don't meet their agreement to deliver. You do it all over and over again. In my case, changing the delivery date happened several times. The week they **finally** delivered, I had to re-sign contracts three times alone. So the contracts are ONLY to get you to act. If they don't act, they just force you to sign a new one. And by the time you're 5,6, or more weeks into this, have funded the loan, procured insurance, and scheduled time off - you have every incentive to keep going because you have put SO MUCH into this. For Carvana, if it works, fine. If it doesn't fine - we'll just move the ball and force a new contract. They all come to work for this very purpose, so it's literally part of their business model. So, Carvana will be getting a contract lawsuit and a Virginia Consumer Protection Act lawsuit from me. The worst thing that will happen for me (since I am a licensed attorney) is I spend a few dollars and travel a few blocks to the courthouse down the street. Carvana can hire a local attorney to respond and appear on their behalf - they can waste their time & money like I had to do for weeks. DON'T FORGET TO OPT OUT OF THEIR SHAM ARBITRATION CLAUSE! YOU HAVE 30 DAYS! Read the contract - even if they don't abide by the terms, you have to. More
The was the best car buying experience I have ever encountered. My only suggestion would be to make the fee for picking up at the vending machine lower than the delivery fee. I have since recommended Carvana to my son-in-law buying a 2nd car and a co-worker buying a truck for her son. More
