With a spotty recent credit history, I was even more anxiety ridden. I’d read about carvana and decided to give it a try. A preaproval that came without a hit to credit, an easy and honest car shopping experience was just what I needed! After completing my application I was approved in an hour! Delivery of my new car was easy and fun, with the car looking exactly as described. I’m thrilled and excited for my new car and there was no anxiety in the process! I’ve told everyone who will listen about this experience! More
Buying from Carvana was super easy to buy from, they do super simple financingx, soon I closed the deal, It was the beginning of problems, they give me a deliver date purchase on January 22, 2021, first super simple financingx, soon I closed the deal, It was the beginning of problems, they give me a deliver date purchase on January 22, 2021, first deliver date, January 30 2021, 3 days before they say "we need to change the delivery date for paper work reason, fine I was ok with that understandable, they give me a second deliver date February 18 2021, and the day before deliver they call and say because of the snow they will not be able to deliver, but on my conversation with customer service he told me the reason it was they didn't have the title to do all paper work, so they give me a third deliver date March 8 2021, on March 6 2021, they left me a message, I need to do some more paper work, if that paper work not done by that afternoon they need to change the deliver date again and I called back ask "why you are telling me this 2 days before deliver date, I told them if you change the deliver date again I will cancel this order, waste of a lot of my time dealing with CARVANA, It was a really bad experience, Definitely worse than a regular car dealer. 45 DAYS TO DELIVER A CAR I THINK IT A LITTLE TOO MUCH I have my car now, great car and good value, just deliver time not acceptable Patrick Nascimento More

I recently purchased a 2015 Hellcat through Carvana with 4k miles on it. I have some mixed feelings on the purchase and really wanted to rate them 3.5 stars but that isn't an option so I went with 3 stars a 4k miles on it. I have some mixed feelings on the purchase and really wanted to rate them 3.5 stars but that isn't an option so I went with 3 stars and "not recommended" as I would only recommend to a friend with very detailed caveats they need to understand (most called out below) The car - The car did not come as described. The pictures on the website were OK and based on how picky they were with the "imperfections" being called out I figured all imperfections would have been identified. My car had 3 imperfections identified. 2 were for rock chips on the front of the car (normal for a used car) and one was for a scratch on the passenger door (also normal for a used car). They did not call out the 2 large door ding dents (about 2 inches tall) in the passenger fender nor the large door ding dent in the passenger door (about 1 inch tall). They also did not identify the discolored and stained portion of the stripe on the rear bumper. These defects were very clear, especially to someone that whom caught the rock chips that were very minor. The non-identified defects were actually more obvious than the ones identified. The car is supposed to come with 3 keys (all Hellcats come with 2 red and one black key) but only two were given at delivery. The car also had two mechanical failures. The supercharger bearings had started to fail and the shifter (manual transmission) bushings had failed and the transmission cross member was loose so the car made an audible popping sound when starting to move or stop. I identified the supercharger sound at pick up and was told that is something warranty department should cover. After speaking with the warranty company they do not cover anything on the car that was present at time of delivery so I'm stuck with fixing this myself. Overall the car is a fairly good example of the car and since it's the exact color combination and interior spec I wanted I'm dealing with the above vs returning the car and losing $500 (from having it shipped). Delivery - I strongly suggest that Carvana provide updates on shipping to customers. My car was delayed by an extra week because the transporter didn't pick it up as scheduled. Completely understand things come up, especially at this time in our world with Covid, but I was not notified until the day before delivery that it wasn't going to make it and I would have to wait another week. I should have been told the day it missed pick up. This car was coming from NC to Austin TX. I chose the Vending option for delivery as my Kids wanted to experience that. I packed the family up and drove the hour to the vending location only to not be able to participate in it as their was a "mishap" in the machine that made it inoperable earlier that afternoon. Kind of disappointing but again, we understand things come up but no notice from Carvana of this change. I was told it had just happened but my car was sitting in the parking lot still and hadn't been loaded yet so I'm not sure what to believe there since I doubt they load your car less than 30 mins before you arrive (as what we were told). P.S. - The parking at the Austin location is a nightmare. I strongly recommend you just have the car sent to your house. They were getting in a lot of new cars and it may have been part of the vending machine issue as well but there was nowhere to park and cars were double parked in spots. Made the whole experience nerve racking trying to get in and out as well as inspect my new car. Really took any fun out of taking delivery out of things. Customer service - Outside of the above delivery challenges everyone, and I mean everyone, we spoke to and worked with were EXTREMELY helpful and nice. I spoke with at least a half dozen different people along the way and loved working with each of them. Very professional and helpful. Warranty - Let's be frank here. I bought this car sight unseen due to the 100 day warranty and thinking that anything wrong with the car not caught in the 150 point check (obviously isn't all that good but is on par with other used car dealerships) would be taken care of. SilverRock (company that covers the warranty) is a joke. All of their preferred vendors for mechanical work are service stations. Jiffy Lube, PepBoys, Brake Check, etc. Not one real mechanic shop was is offered in network. You can go out of network for $50 but the company you chose has to agree to work within SilverRock requirements for service approvals which is a long process. I'm confident they would take care of the small things but if you have a real issues with your car, I'm doubting it. Like my SC bearing issue. This is an EXTREMLY common issue on 2015 and 2016 Hellcats so should have been caught and repaired as part of the 150 point check but since it wasn't and it was present at time of delivery it is not covered. Just keep that in mind since you are buying sight unseen. Fortunately I'm mechanically inclined and can fix it myself for about $1500 myself though. Summary - If you are buying an inexpensive family car that you are OK with living with some minor issues then I think Carvana is on par or better than most used car dealerships. But, I would not recommend that anyone buys a specialty type or more expensive (performance or luxury) car through them. I know the argument to almost this whole review is "you had 7 days to return the car"; which I fully understand. With the $500 non-refundable factored in vs the time invested I'd rather just keep the car and spend the money to fix it and be done, vs return it and start the process all over again. More
