I had contracted their CarvanaCare Premier, but they simply told the repair facility those fixed weren't covered (brakes, shocks, alignment). When trying to swap car, a complicated process because of the insurance (the one they recommended and partnered with). Excellent customer service to apologize and send links. Horrible customer service to take responsibility and find solutions. Carvana? Never again. More
I recently purchased a 13 mini cooper JCW from Carvana last week. Carvana did call to explain the car wasnt up t carvana standards cosmetically. I went down there and looked at the car as they pointed out the flaws(this is a 10year old vehicle so i accepted it). It had 2 warning lights before i even got out of the concord location and a bad shake at 45mph. I had a certified BMW/Mini specialist look at the car and i was shocked when i got the report. Problems were: Aftermarket exhaust with holes in it(exhaust leaks), Front brake pads are worn so bad to set a warning light/LR rim is bent/ cabin and engine air filters are horrible/there is a draw on the battery. I wanted carvana to fix these issues because i love the car and don't want to return it, but i was told this was not an option. So i have the mini set up to return and i swapped it out for another mini(this time having to pay $590 for shipping). The current Mini passed a NC state inspection done by carvana right before sale. Keep in mind that exhaust leaks and worn brake pads don't wear out over a few days. I'm really concerned about how carvana does state inspections in North Carolina as this car shouldn't have passed the safety inspection. The employees at carvana that i've spoken to are great but none of them can even waive the $590 shipping fee for all the trouble i have gone through. I'm not returning the car because i dont like it, but because it would cost me money to make it safe. Even though i'm really upset about having to return the current Mini, i'm ok with the new one that is coming, i just wish Carvana would work with me. I do have all the documents to support this review. More
Electric Vehicle was received July23, 2022. The HV battery went out May 13, 2023. The original dealership ran diagnostics and technician stated that there was an after market battery placed in the vehicle which is not recommended nor supported. I was quoted $15,000 for a new battery replacement which is more than half the price I paid for the vehicle. I contacted Carvana to explain the issue and emailed all supportive documents from the dealership as requested by their rep for review. There is no way I would have purchased this vehicle with an aftermarket battery that had poor battery life. For 2weeks I went back and forth with Carvana because they wanted more diagnostic tests from the dealership. I informed them that the dealership completed all the necessary diagnostics to determine the issue and the resolution. I provided yet another updated document to Carvana which showed the same diagnostics as prior. I then waited another full week with no update or acknowledgment to my emails. Last night, I finally received an email stating they will not provide coverage nor any compensation for the vehicle since 1) they are not able to determine that the after market battery was indeed present in the vehicle at time of purchase. 2) It's beyond the post sale time frame which is 100days. This is completely unacceptable! So Carvana can't determine if an aftermarket battery was in place at the time of purchase but supposedly does a 150-point inspection? How can they not know this viable info if the vehicle was actually inspected? I asked for documents from Carvana that states what battery the vehicle had prior to purchase as well as the battery health. Their rep stated that info would be emailed but of course that was never done because they have no proof! Now I am paying for a vehicle, that I had less than year, I can't drive or even open the doors because there is absolutely no power. Carvana could've easily come to some sort of compromise but NO, they only care about is MONEY!! Never again will I be scammed by this company!! More
This will be the third car that I have purchased from Carvana. I would say this would be the one that I am most disappointed on as far as condition compared to the photos that were on line. I had two concerns. The biggest concern was the battery was very close to being dead and the key fob was falling apart. I didn’t get the additional warranty because there is no good repair shops in my area in network. Well, the lady did put in for the new key fob but if course they’re is no in network silver rock. so i have to pay up front and get a reimbursement because it was a hassle trying to explain to the dealership about electronic payments. She didn’t do the battery and I had to pay the $100 deductible (the operator) was nice and helpful and will reimburse me my money because I explained that I would have left the keys there if I knew I would have to pay for repairs two days off the lot. The rep. ensure me that I would pay nothing but that was a big lie. So, I have learned from this experience is to get all promises in writing. But, I can say the phone rep did make everything right and fair and explain in details the 100 day warranty and I swill receive a check in the mail for the money I spent. More
3rd vehicle I have bought from Carvana. I could not be happier with them. The price they tell you is what you pay, unlike most dealerships anymore. My second vehicle I bought, I swapped, and the only reason is another truck came in the day after I received mine and the only reason I swapped was it had 40,000 less miles. No questions asked and it was in my driveway 2 days later!!! More
