I spent no less than a cumulative of three hours verifying and making sure that the registration and plates would go to my PO Box as I was in a middle of a move. 7 different conversations I had and verifying and making sure that the registration and plates would go to my PO Box as I was in a middle of a move. 7 different conversations I had and every single one reassured me that those items would not be mailed to my old address which I haven’t lived at in a year. Now I have to take time off from work, lose pay to go stand at the DMV, and pay for all of these items out of my own pocket again! No one cared they just handed over everything to the DMV and the DMV is going to send it to the address on file. More
My car buying experience was overall a good experience. Hunter that delivered my car was kind and very helpful. A financial disaster! Although I was pleased with the purchase (a 2018 Subaru Impreza), I was appalled at the process involving payment for the vehicle. I had from the beginning indicated that I would p purchase (a 2018 Subaru Impreza), I was appalled at the process involving payment for the vehicle. I had from the beginning indicated that I would pay via certified check. Carvana managed to ignore that stipulation (it was in my file multiple times!) and initiated a withdrawal from my bank account AFTER having verified the amount of the certified check AND taking possession of the check when the car was delivered. So Carvana ended up with twice the purchase price in their pockets!!! I was told that the default setting for payment on their end was to make an automatic withdrawal which I find unbelievable. Why should initiating a withdrawal be the default given other ways (loan, certified check, etc.) to purchase a vehicle??? That action should be proactive and depend on someone checking the payment method BEFORE initiating a withdrawal. I have yet to receive a definitive answer as to when my monies will be returned! I will NOT be using Carvana again when this type of mistake is a real possibility! I understand the service reps are limited in what they can do, but there must be an immediate solution to this problem. It's absolutely absurd that this kind ofmistake can be made and then take who knows how long (hopefully no more two weeks in my case) to correct the error. More
If you find a car on their website that is available now I predict you will have a satisfying experience. However, if you find a car that you are interested in that says “coming soon” your chances of having I predict you will have a satisfying experience. Our experience was that we waited almost two months for the car to become available with little to no communication from Carvana on the status of release date of the vehicle. The vehicle itself is fantastic and we are really glad we were able to wait it out. The detailing, in my opinion was less than satisfactory. The vehicle was covered with little orange rust spots. The buy-product of brake dust. These are exceedingly easy to remove and I am not sure why Carvana did not remove them. It took me approximately 20 minutes to remove them with wheel cleaner. More
