Do not use Carvana. They take your money and give you a runaround. 8 months and tons of wasted time and energy and they still won’t send stuff so I can register the car. My fiancé bought a 2017 Buick Encore from Carvana less than 2 years ago. Before we were together. It has 36,000 miles on it and is covered completely on the bottom with rust. So far this year the AC has needed to be completely overhauled and now the water pump has gone out and the exhaust is rusted out. Carvana try’s to act like they are so convenient but also sell cars like this with issues that. People don’t get to see the cars and know what’s wrong with and scam people into buying these cars that are riddled with problems and offering little to no warranty on them because they know they are going to fall apart. Trading this car in asap to get a car with a warranty and thats that. Do not buy from Carvana unless you want to start dumping money into fixing somebody else’s problems very soon after. More
Carvana did not disclose several repair issues with the car prior to my purchase, including a leaking front axle seal, zip ties used to keep the engine splash shield in place instead of metal clips, and a car prior to my purchase, including a leaking front axle seal, zip ties used to keep the engine splash shield in place instead of metal clips, and a missing front bumper reinforcement. And while Carfax stated there were no accidents associated with the car, it appears there was a front bumper run-in. Silver Rock has been useless in getting the issues resolved with my Honda mechanic, Exclusive Honda. Silver Rock never provided me with a claim number and then proceeded to close the claim without notifying me. In spite of several conversations with Exclusive Honda, Silver Rock never communicated with me again. The only two places in town that Silver Rock contracts with is Firestone Tires and Pep Boys. Neither are capable of the repairs needed on the car. While the purchase and delivery process were quite smooth, in spite of the undisclosed car problems, Carvana should contract with a different claims company than Silver Rock as they are a slipshod operation. Great time looking at cars online and picking out our car. Problems came when we went to pick it up. We showed up 2 minutes late to our pickup time and the car was not even there. They said that had to get it smog tested and they had to drive across town to find someone to do it. We waited one hour with our three kids in the little office ( which was horrible)! We then had to wait for them to load it in the vending machine and get “The whole experience.” After all that we jumped in the car to just be notified by the car we would not make it home and need to find a charging station. One hour after the car was charged enough to go 30 miles and no gas in the generator we left for home. It took us over 2 and a half hours to pickup our car and lots of stress. This is not a stress free buying experience!! More
Overall great experience. Expect to pay a higher interest rate when financing through Carvana (Bridgecrest). Received great trade-in value though, which is a plus. My first experience was good with carvana. They brought me the car, it was a rainy day so I didn't drive around much. The next day I drive to work and it started jumping when changing gears. A They brought me the car, it was a rainy day so I didn't drive around much. The next day I drive to work and it started jumping when changing gears. Also noticed the ceiling was covered in dog hair. So I swapped it, they made me drive two hours to avoid a delivery fee. On the first attempt to pick it up, they called me 15 minutes away from the meeting spot stating that I was missing paperwork and wasn't able to get it that day. Meet the next day after I got everything situated, and after the swap, 5 minutes into the drive home, the new car started jumping, it had an obvious misfire. So I decided to swap it again. I'm not going to put money into a new to me car. After this last swap, which I also had to meet for, this one seems OK for now. I'm only on day 8 of having it, so fingers crossed that nothing is wrong with this one. More
The process was very easy except the payment portion. For some reason, Carvana was not able to debit my account for the funds. I immediately scheduled a wire, but in the interim (one day) I got multiple notices EVEN after the wire was received. It seems the payment department doesn't connect quickly with whoever sends out nasty-grams, so as a result I made several calls over a 24 hour period I was not planning to, plus some extra stress.
