Dealership told me they would have a check issued to me for cash back on the sale in 2-3 days, I waited for 5 days. When I came to pick up the check after giggling the battery connector to get there, I was told to bring it back on Monday morning at 9:00am and they would fix it right away. Waited for an hour and a half for repair, checked status because I needed to leave, was then told they had to go get the part somewhere because it wasn’t in stock, then was told they went to go get the part and it would be another hour before it was done. I don’t know why they couldn’t have checked for that part ( a simple battery connector) at 9:00am, so I could have been done by now. Watch out for this place. Everything went good until I drove off the lot! More

Hi! I was alright with my service until I got the chip in my windshield, and Paul found it necessary to say again and again that ‘they were unable to tel I was alright with my service until I got the chip in my windshield, and Paul found it necessary to say again and again that ‘they were unable to tell from the cameras if the chip was already there but not to worry, we’re taking care of it no problem’. To say it once, ok..but once I said the location of the chip is right at the driver’s side front view, and I would’ve noticed it, that ‘we couldn’t tell for sure from the cameras, but we’re taking care of it..’ narrative should’ve ceased. Instead Paul repeated it at least 2-3 more times during my additional hour while the chip was being ‘repaired’. Stuff happens, and I understand that; but it happened while in Big Star Hyundai’s care. When Paul kept repeating that statement, it started to feel like an insinuation as though I could be lying but they were going to do me the favor or taking care of it anyway. It definitely added insult to injury. So to summarize, my first service experience at Big Star Hyundai resulted in damage to my windshield AND me feeling insulted by an employee of this service department. This is the 3rd survey I have completed as requested by Hyundai from various platforms. I have also left reviews on their website, Google, and Yelp. No one since then has reached out, apologized, explained, responded, NOTHING. Says a lot without saying anything at all. Hopefully other potential consumers/patrons will see it though and avoid Big Star Hyundai in Friendswood. More
My service was done quickly and efficiently. However they did not reset the oil counter or the service counter. However they did not reset the oil counter or the service counter. More

But if you mention that charging mandatory fees on top of the sale price is called bait and switch, it’s no longer mandatory... Per the Carfax they gave me which shows what they put on the vehicle, an inspection, air filter, oil change, a pad slap, reverse bulb, and cabin filter costs $1200, it does not. It also says it was washed and detailed, but they missed detailing the roof, but that’s above eye level, so they must assume people don’t look there. Next there is the “standard” $3000 for the $10 GPS Tracker that they have already installed for you! Knock that off. Then comes the personal related items. The vehicle has a spare on it, they located a proper wheel for it, but.. Come to find out, it’s was a knockoff, which didn’t fit the factory lug nuts. No bother, they threw on some non-standard, used, spline lug nuts without providing the lug key. Then I had to ask for the spare back! And in that time frame, the spare, which had a tire, no longer had a tire.. The knock off wheel didn’t have a center cap which they said they we getting for me, but after two weeks, nothing.. texts to the sale guys Francisco that used to be responsive, no response. Texts that came from the front desk asking if I needed anything, were going to check on it… but silence. So, in the end, I still need to go find a proper wheel and lugs, had to get a tire for the spare, and lots of random things that are small but add up during a flip. So yeah.. stay away unless it’s a certified used, otherwise it’s a thousand little cuts to nickel and dime every part of the process. I should have walked away the first time they mentioned the mandatory charges. More
