I went from Michigan to Columbus to buy a Toyota rav4 as because of 0% APR deals. The sale’s person named ‘Sal Sabir’ who was nice initially. I spoke to him on 06/30/25 around 1:40pm for rav4 and he told me because of 0% APR deals. The sale’s person named ‘Sal Sabir’ who was nice initially. I spoke to him on 06/30/25 around 1:40pm for rav4 and he told me it was last day of the deals so I had to pick the car on that day which was pretty impossible for me to go Ohio from Michigan without prior preparation within ours. Then he did me a favour which was I had to make half down payment by credit card and rest of half at the time of pick up with cash or check that was really appreciated & I did it. The next day I was driving fast to go there (toyota direct dealership) before 12:00pm as because my rental car already made me late during pick up. Now the real scenario had began. When I went there Mr. Sal was in very rush and took me to finance manager Mr. Wiley. If I am honest I would say Mr. Wiley is coldest guy who is very moody or already pissed off by something or by his job & no greetings which I did & even didn’t I ask me to sit but asking for signature. Really?xxx! (Although then I sat by myself). He just took a signature from me & told me to go even didn’t tell how to make my monthly payments or anything else which still I don’t know and will need to watch youtube videos or ask somebody who is already experienced. After payment Mr. Sal gave me hand book, temporary registration of the car and keys and showed the car & told me I am all set to go. Really! I didn’t take test drive as I have enough trust on toyota motors but that doesn’t mean I know everything about a new car. I requested him to show me at least some basic features of the car as I didn’t take any test drive or didn’t own this model of car before. He refused and said he has another customer and if I really want then I needed to wait 10 to 20 minutes which I agreed. Btw all of the above tasks like payments, sign, handover of car keys happened within 5 minutes at the dealership. I was waiting more than 30 minutes but didn’t see Mr. Sal anymore. At that time I would say he was really callous & didn’t care at all as he already sold the car to me. I was keep waiting & felt so ingored. Then another guy named Mr. Ashikur with whom I met at the show room for the first time was saw us standing helplessly and came to me. I told him why I was waiting and he was really nice and finally helped me with basic features of the car even also installed ‘Toyota’ app in my phone and set up everything. I really appreciate his help and thanful to him. So in a nutshell if you ask me experience with Toyota direct I would say I was treated very very poorly at the dealership. Honestly It seemed to me that I went there to take some free reliefs goods and right after taking reliefs they tried to kick me out within seconds. I was so tired after non-stoped driving without any break from Michigan to Ohio and expected some respect and good behaviours which I didn’t get at all. Now I not sure as it happened to me as because I paid earlier even before seeing the car or this was way how they usually treat their all customers. I would say it highly unprofessionalism and concerning. If you have any minor doubts about my statement I am always ready to talk to any higher authorities. My salesman was very respectful of me and I appreciate it. There were no forceful sales tactics or tricks. He let me do a test drive by myself and that's a huge plus. I like the fact that there was always someone who was willing to help you.
