The 2025 Mazda CX-5 I just purchased was my first car purchase since I acquired my 1990 Honda Accord. Due to my rural location, I initially contacted five different Mazda dealerships in the Northern California area. From day one, Nathan (Nate) Shirey was the most outstanding sales rep with whom I dealt. His response to my initial request for information was immediate and thorough. From day one he handled all of our interactions in a professional, friendly, respectful and honest manner. I especially appreciated his patience as we awaited delivery of my car, how he kept me updated on progress of the delivery. During the pickup process, Nate was extremely patient with my learning curve for all the new electronics in the vehicle and went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable with my introduction to how everything worked. He made the process understandable and fun--going the extra mile to make sure all was set up and working for me before I left the dealership. Working with Max Cuadras in the "business office" was a similar thorough, efficient and pleasant experience. He made all the paperwork understandable--with no pressure on me in making any optional decisions. I was very impressed with both Nate and Max. In the course of my professional activities I deal with a lot of (non-auto) major asset acquisition and disposition transactions. I can honestly say that I wish I could work with professionals like Nate and Max every day. It was just great to have extremely pleasant interactions with them both which reflected a clear, honest, prompt and reliable understanding and handling of the purchase. Their willingness to go the extra mile to assure I had--and will have--access to any questions I had or may have was an unexpected bonus in earning my respect and appreciation for these two young men. I highly recommend the dealership and especially Nate and Max!

After other dealers failed twice to properly diagnose and resolve an intermittent -- and thus admittedly hard-to-diagnose -- issue, the Browning team immediately found the far-from-obvious cause of the problem and fixed it, quickly and at a reasonable cost. They had always taken excellent care of my wife's Mazda 3 when we lived in the area; it was worth going out of my way to bring my car to them in this case. You cannot get better care for your Mazda than from the Browning Cerritos team.

I bought my CX-5 new at HB Mazda, but if you have a Mazda - Ed.S.

I bought my CX-5 new at HB Mazda, but if you have a Mazda that's out of warranty, think again about having HB Mazda do repairs. I had a CEL and a DTC, and took my CX-5 to HB Mazda where they charged $200 to diagnose, and then said the car has a clogged heater core which they would charge $2,600 to replace... Replacing a heater core in any car with only 50,000 miles on it is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I did a bi-directional flush on the core and found lots of plastic chips that were coming from a deteriorating "plastic" impeller on the water pump. I was astonished to find that Mazda had actually installed a low quality water pump with a plastic impeller in the factory. Now I'm concerned that Mazda might have done other cheap, cost cutting things on this car when they built it, and I'm leery about keeping the car. Anyone who has the same experience can look forward to paying what they quoted me, then, when the water pump goes out completely, due to the cheap plastic impeller, they'll also have to spend another grand to replace the water pump, as well... That's a projected total of $4,000 to have HB Mazda fix this problem. I replaced the water pump myself and the total cost of the repair to me, including HB Mazda's dubious $200 diagnostic fee, was $600, plus six hours of my time. I once thought highly of Mazda, but now I'll never own another one... Mazda and its Service people are seriously Unethical.

This review is well overdue. I’ve been taking both my RX-8 and CX-90 to Riverside Mazda service for the past 14 months after a poor experience at a nearby Mazda dealership. What a night and day difference! They take care of you like a valued customer, and a special shout out to Daniel Herrera and Wendy Bechtel who have has been my Service Advisor most of the time. They know what a customer first experience means. Looking forward to taking my Mazda vehicles to Riverside Mazda Service department for years to come. And since I’m on my 8th Mazda, maybe I get to know their Sales team too when I’m ready for my 9th.
