Dealer perform oil change fast and I want to thank the dealer for the level of service. The dealer says that it is normal for the level of oil to raise above the “Full Mark” of the dipstick plastic in dealer for the level of service. The dealer says that it is normal for the level of oil to raise above the “Full Mark” of the dipstick plastic indicator and that they believe there is no gas in the oil. I sincerely respect and understand the dealer opinion. In my opinion the oil dilution problem persists. As per the Hyundai Owners Manual Page 9-19 the oil level should be between F (Full) and L (Low) Marks. I clearly understand that a little of oil over the Full Mark is considered normal for a Hybrid engine. However, I have observed that the oil level around 1K to 1.5K miles raise almost near the end of the dipstick plastic indicator. The plastic end of the indicator which is about 5/8” above the “Full Level Mark”. A little amount of oil above the “Full Mark” is considered normal, however almost of 1/8” at the end of the dipstick plastic indicator after 1 or 1.5K miles could be a red-flag. Car economy since day of purchase has been 27 sometimes 28 miles per gallon never 35 city or highway. After buying 9 Hyundai cars during the past 11 years this is the first time I’m considering to trade my car for another brand not because of the service provided but for the annoyances observed about my hybrid engine. I haven’t seen yet the advantage of the Hyundai Hybrid power train in my car. Weird banging noise when starting the engine cold, loud noise when idling and the heater turns on and very poor fuel economy. Perhaps the gasoline is evaporating or something else is making the engine oil level to raise above specifications and without triggering an ECM Error which is very difficult to diagnose. The staff were fine, but I resent being ripped off by a company that charges almost $600 for replacing a 12 volt battery. The battery is only available at dealerships at that inflated price.
