Thank you very much for the feedback and opportunity to help improve our communication. We’re very sorry for the confusion, but maintenance plans unfortunately do not transfer from one vehicle to another. They can be “cancelled” and if there is a balance remaining from the claims deducted and time/mileage passed, you may get a prorated refund back you could apply to your next car purchase. In your case, there would be no refund remaining if you were to cancel. So there would be no monetary value to transfer even if that was even an option. While Kevin may not have completely understood or answered your request properly, it certainly wasn’t meant to “bait and switch” as the certified vehicle you inquired about already comes with a complimentary 1-year maintenance plan included with the purchase. We do apologize if we initially answered your question and inquiry incorrectly, but it wasn’t used as a sales tactic. In regards to your trade-in value. You initially wanted a number that we thought was too high. You thought our number was too low. In a trade scenario, you become the seller. And it certainly takes both sides to agree on a number to make a deal. We don’t take offense when a guest wants more for their car. It's your merchandise and completely up to you feel the value is sufficient. Keep in mind the price of car we were selling had no requirement for you to trade in a vehicle and you always have an opportunity to sell it elsewhere if you’re not satisfied with the number. It’s certainly unfortunate we couldn’t make it work on the Ascent and completely understand your feelings moving forward. It’s never our intention to have one of our guests frustrated. I can assure you that Dan will continue to take outstanding care of you and your vehicle. Also, in the future, if you ever do have any concerns regarding sales or service please reach out directly to a Sales or Service Manager for additional assistance. We always cherish the opportunity to assist a guest before it’s too late. We appreciate your time and thank you very much for your feedback.
