dmags4450 As discussed, this was a very unique vehicle with interest from many potential buyers. The online credit application that you submitted directly to Mercedes-Benz Financial Services was done without a final agreement with our dealership on the purchase terms and a variety of tasks needed to be completed before it could be finalized. While this was going on, this vehicle was purchased by another shopper. Lastly, our records only show communication with you about the vehicle and no arrangements for a wire transfer were made. "Build your deal" was done through MBUSA.com at full price with no contingencies, and with pre-approval from Mercedes-Benz Financial. This should have automatically caused a pause in any other deals until this one was completed or rejected. Instead GM Jim Elefantis had a very pompous attitude which permeates top down. Raised the price after my deal submitted, by $4000, and THEN sold to another customer, all while refusing to return my email or phone calls. Elefantis attitude was "our dealership is in a strong market area where we can basically dictate our "policies". That policy is it is never sold until sold, until all documents signed, first come first serve. Take you chances on a plane ticket etc, After deal was submitted, with no response from Sales manager or GM Jim Elefantis, I contacted MBUSA. The forwarded complaint/issue back to Elefantis for response within 24 hours. NO RESPONSE. Sold car 2 days later, at increased price, without responding or rejecting deal. True bait and switch with no intention to sell at advertised price. Extremely poor reflection on Mercedes, and they should not allow that to happen. But as Jim Elefantis said, "I can do what I want".
