I had the most wonderful, top of the line experience at the Mercedes-Benz of Silver Spring dealership recently on two ocassions. The team was so professional and Mr. Carlos the used car manager was extreamley helpful and and courteous you felt he understood your needs and he geneuinly worked on giving you the type of service that without a doubt would keep you coming back and to recommend friend, family to visit and choose this dealership because of the fine service he provides. Brad, the finance master and Mr. Lovence were both awesome! These two make an amazing team they ensure that you are pleased and satisfied with the choice of vehicle they recommend and they have great interpersonal skills. Thank you both for being the best and Mr. carlos too. More

I purchased a vehicle on 9/5/24 from this dealership, and within 24 hours I notified my salesperson (Julian) that the rotors were bad. He had me come into the dealership on 9/10/24 to get it checked. I met with Tom Rodkey (Service Manager) and he test drove my vehicle and concluded that the rotors were bad. At that time, Tom introduced me to the Used Car Manager (Carlos Arias). That is when my expectation of Mercedes Benz customer serviced went downhill fast. Carlos proceeded to tell me that the car passed the inspection (which is bias because it is conducted by Mercedes, probably his department) and he refused to fix the rotors. Please note: This is my fourth (4th) Benz, and my worst encounter with one of their employees. One of the reasons that I choose to do business with Mercedes is because their level of customer service is EXCELLENT. No customer that just purchased a vehicle should encounter the RUDENESS that Carlos displayed toward me, He told me to return the car because he was not going to fix it. Everything about his tone and demeanor was DISRESPECTFUL, and I was very disappointed. As a result, I spoke to Dorit Figueroa and she went over her head to the General Manager (Jim Elefantis). Jim explained the issue with fixing the car while understanding my position. It is not what you say but how you say it. Jim provided the level of customer service that I have grown to love about Mercedes. He had my rotors repaired and I was a happy customer. I am so glad Jim turned that disappointing experience around. Thank you Julian, Brad, Tom, Dorit and Jim for making this repeat customer happy. You all renewed my belief in Mercedes Benz and the excellent level of service they provide to their customers. As a side note, I had an employee and customer inform me discreetly that they had to deal with Carlos' bad attitude and they were not surprise by my encounter with him. They told me to stand my ground. More

Take my advice, if you purchase a used Mercedes or any car from Silver Spring, make sure you have an outside inspection performed on that vehicle. My experience started out pretty even and went completel car from Silver Spring, make sure you have an outside inspection performed on that vehicle. My experience started out pretty even and went completely downhill. I cannot express my disappointment with my experience. To not be heard and then have your words twisted and insinuated I it had caused all four rotors to be rusted on a car I purchased in September, 2022. I reported my issues, I took my car in only to have it documented that they could not verify my complaint, which was the pulsation of my brakes. I then pay for an inspection only for them to document that, they test drove the vehicle and confirmed brake pulsation, visually inspected brakes and found significant rust on pad to rotor mating surfaces front and back off all FOUR rotors. Then when I stated this wasn't caused by me as I don't drive as much, it was being spun that I let the car sit and the rotors rusted. I then explained that I work remote 4 days every other week and didn't let the car sit, drove on weekends, etc. the tune changed to well you brought the car in September, never mind that I called the dealership (a few times), setup an appointment, received a loaner car, they checked but didn't see anything. When I challenged with the independent inspection Carlos Arias stated, but we did find anything and it passed inspection prior to the sale. Not once was there any indication or attempt to offer any customer service other than to point out that they didn't find anything. If you are willing to take that stance, you should have stated this in the beginning of the conversation. I will never purchase another Benz from this dealership nor refer anyone here. Thank goodness I didn't buy that maintenance package when I purchased my car. If your stance was going to be "we are not going to cover this" then say it and not try to make the customer the culprit, I would respect you more. I would give zero if I could. I do apologize for loses my temper and letting you push me that far. The best thing about my experience with my car purchase (this was my second at this dealership) was James McDonald. He was very nice and customer service oriented. I know, he's a salesman, however, It was a pleasure doing business with him. Goodbye!! More
