Scranton is a classy dealership. In 2016 I bought a new truck there and this 2024 I bought a used truck there. They went the distance to address my concerns. I was advised that I would be phoned when a part was available. I was phoned, made an appointment for installation, and it was accomplished within the time estimate. The team at Scranton Cadillac is usually on top of their game with excellent care and service. This was my go to dealer for all my service needs but a recent experience left me very disappointed. Unfortunat game with excellent care and service. This was my go to dealer for all my service needs but a recent experience left me very disappointed. Unfortunately, work was supposed to be done on my vehicle but after more than 7 hours of waiting I came to find out that more work was needed and they were planning to keep my car for more diagnostics. There were multiple attempts to get updates throughout the day, but finally received a summary of what was going on with my vehicle 7 hours later, which is when I was also notified that they wanted to keep the vehicle there overnight. They had no courtesy vehicles and there was little to no heads up. In total, a brake job and oil change took 7 hours. More importantly at a previous visit for an oil change, I was told the service department would be putting in dye in the engine as there was a leak, but was told at the most recent visit they couldn’t find where the leak was and needed to put more dye in for the next visit. This seems to be a critical error. This was my trusted dealership, but this recent experience left me disappointed at the lack of care for my vehicle and my time. I do want to acknowledge, I believe her name is Beverly, was extremely friendly and acknowledged the time spent waiting at the dealership. The same service manager helped me out last time and did a good job in the past, but he seemed to be overwhelmed and off his game this time around. It could have been an off day for him. More
