Hi there, A step in performing a New York State Inspection is to evaluate the emergency brake (hand brake) performance, and if its lever travel is within specifications. Your vehicle did not pass this part of the inspection. The rear calipers applied but failed to retract fully. You were informed of this needed repair, and it's stated on the service invoice you received. If further clarification is needed, please reach out to our service manager at 516-285-6655, ext. 126.
