DON'T TRUST TOYOTA OF PORTLAND! - Did Not Honor Sale Last week, arranged to purchase a Prius V at TOYOTA OF PORTLAND; a +3-hours drive away from us. There are two prices listed depending on the website s Last week, arranged to purchase a Prius V at TOYOTA OF PORTLAND; a +3-hours drive away from us. There are two prices listed depending on the website searched; one is $2,00 higher than the other. Spoke with Used Sales Manager & a Sales person - confirmed they would honor the lower price because I had a screen shot. Confirmed the car was still available the am we were to drive down. Sales person said she'd "pulled" the car and had it "set aside" for us. Confirmed it was still available just before leaving to drive down. Even provided a firm reference vouching were were serious customers. WHY would we drive 3 hours to not buy? Got a call 30 minutes later that they'd SOLD THE CAR OUT FROM UNDER US. Josh Kampmann, GM, then called to "apologize" for the "misunderstanding". Have re-checked CarGurus, AutoTrader, TruCar, CarFax and THEIR OWN WEBSITE all week, and again just now, ALL STILL LIST THE CAR FOR SALE! THIS IS FEELS LIKE FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION. AVOID TOYOTA OF PORTLAND!!!!! (We went to Toyota of Lake City (WA) instead and had an AWESOME experience!) More

Daniel took u Went to see Minh but he was busy so Daniel filled in. We went in looking for a used vehicle, but they aren't part of the Costco program. Daniel took us to see different vehicles and we found a Silver Rav 4 with a lift gate to fit my height (electronically). Elizabeth was very efficient and professional. The interest rate and terms were different and we didn't catch it until we signed almost all of the paperwork. There was confusion on the zip code offers, but not on the price. We feel the floor manager should have come to us with the discrepancies. Because of the work and professionalism that Daniel and Elizabeth did, we still did the deal. Daniel stayed until after closing to make sure I learned the most important features, sync my phone and maps, and got everything out of my old Corolla into my new 2019 Rav4 and our full tank of gas! Sorry Daniel I lost your card with your last name and you and Elizabeth are not on the list. Daniel kept offering beverages and dinner because of the length of time to make the corrections before it came back to us, but we refused. We stopped at Burger King on the way home. This is the most expensive anniversary present we've ever purchased and it's more almost thirty times what our wedding cost 38 years ago. More
No accountability as result of errors Was mislead regarding expectations on accessing my personal credit scores, even though I came in with a pre-approval from my personal credit union. Ad Was mislead regarding expectations on accessing my personal credit scores, even though I came in with a pre-approval from my personal credit union. Additionally, was advised I only needed one plate in Oregon, but later found out in Oregon, you actually need two. Lastly, I was told I had a limited 3 month warranty on the car I purchased, but when I took it in to get serviced, was told the warranty did not apply to the car I purchased. I have still not heard back regarding any of my follow up to these issues 3 weeks later. More
Exuberant and unreasonable charges on a simple service job Visiting from the east coast with a Prius 2010. Had to replace the inner fender liner on the front left side. Same work was performed on the right f Visiting from the east coast with a Prius 2010. Had to replace the inner fender liner on the front left side. Same work was performed on the right front inner fender in Kansas 2 months ago at a total cost (before taxes) of $140 (part and labor). Toyota of Portland did the same work on the left front and charged $253. How can it be that same service (part and labor) costs $113 more (80% more) at Toyota of Portland???. This info will be sent to TOYOTA USA headquarters. Would not come back to this service shop!!! More
My mom and I went into Toyota with the hope of getting her a brand new a 2019 Toyota RAV4 and Minh was such a pleasure to work with. He explained everything so well and we didn’t feel any pressure to buy her a brand new a 2019 Toyota RAV4 and Minh was such a pleasure to work with. He explained everything so well and we didn’t feel any pressure to buy the car, he laid out all the numbers and took his time to explain to my mom the process and explained his recommendations. My mom being someone who doesn’t understand English well because English is her second language and a Vietnamese is her first, Minh would explain and talk to her in Vietnamese which made the experience that much more pleasant. We walked out with a brand new car and such a great deal! Highly recommend Toyota of Portland More

Please note: Toyota of Portland asks you to rate them 5 stars, and if you don't want to, to contact them to solve the issue for you. On the surface, that may seem like good service, but really, I think it skews their positive rating unnaturally higher. We reached out to them about our experience on Saturday. It's 3:00 Monday afternoon and no-one has got back to us. I think we got an adequate deal. It was about $250 below the market average for Portland, based on the Truecar average. We had to negotiate pretty hard to get that, which was annoying because the internet is supposed to make car buying easier, not harder. The frustrating and confusing part of our experience was after we had negotiated the price. We spent a total of two and a half hours after we agreed on the price of the car. and we paid cash (plus a trade-in) for the car. We had to put up with the hard-sell of service packages, and strangely, the finance guy forgot to ask us for the check? And it was only after we were completely done with the paperwork and he had shaken hands and ushered us out of his office that my husband asked, "Did you want us to write the check?" "Yes. That'd be great," the guy said. Even after the business portion of the car buying experience was done, we waited an extra hour for them to "detail" it. Our sales rep did not keep us informed about what was happening, but instead mostly disappeared, so we were left in the showroom just standing around for literally hours. The detail guys apparently were washing their own cars, and didn't get to ours so finally, one of them took our car off the lot to a local car wash to clean it. What if he had scratched it? Would we have been liable? They had sold it to us by that time. And was that really what happened? I don't know. That's what our sales rep said. They have 85 minute countdown clocks- you're supposed to be able to buy a car within 85 minutes? In total, we were there six and a half hours. We are in the market for my husband's car now, and we are going to look elsewhere. More
