If you're reading this and haven't already spoken with Broadway Toyota, consider yourself lucky. I didn't know about this website before I wasted hours of my life arguing with a guy named Chris from Broa Broadway Toyota, consider yourself lucky. I didn't know about this website before I wasted hours of my life arguing with a guy named Chris from Broadway Toyota. I was looking for a 2009 Tacoma, but since I live in Corvallis, I didn't have a lot of options to look at. I decided to work with Broadway Toyota because the sales staff seemed very easy to work with. Well ... trust me ... the nice salesman who greets you over the phone (or in the parking lot) is not the guy who will be selling you the vehicle. Eventually, you will meet the sales manager. It was a classic case of the "good cop / bad cop" sales tactics (mixed in with the old bait and switch). The salesman is the nice guy who's just trying to help, while the sales manager is the hard-ball guy who's not afraid to tell you that, "he's getting upset" (yeah ... he actually said that to me ... I almost laughed). If you look through the other reviews, even the good ones, you'll see that everyone deals with multiple people at Broadway Toyota. There's a reason for this. It makes it harder for you to keep track of what's been promised. In my case, I know I had talked with someone about financing through OnPoint Credit Union, but when Chris (the sales manager) gave me the out-the-door price, he failed to mention that his price included a higher interest rate through Toyota Financial Services. After I called him out on it, he said that it was required because I was taking advantage of a college graduate program which mandates that I go through TFS, and of course, "we never talked about financing." Well, no "we" didn't but again, that's because I couldn't keep track of every conversation that I had with all three people I dealt with. That's when the arguing begun. The difference in interest was about $600 over the life of the loan. I told him that I wanted him to compensate me for that in the price, but he refused, saying that, "he was only going to make $50 on this deal as it was." That was a blatent lie which I called him out on when I pointed to the part of the build sheet that had over $500 alone in the dealer holdback and twice than in other sections (which he claimed to know nothing about). As a final effort, I asked if he'd throw in a bed extender, but he even refused that, so I walked out. On the way home, I called Toyota of Gladstone and bought the exact same truck for $200 less and they even gave me the interest rate that I wanted. I've taken the time to write this because I know that I'm not the first (or the last) person to waste their time at Broadway Toyota. If you're looking to buy a car, I hope you take my experience under consideration and do your homework on dealer tactics. For example, if you want to know more about "dealer holdback," go to: http://www.edmunds.com/advice/incentives/holdback/index.html. That way, when a crooked sales manager tries to pull the same things on you, you'll know to walk away just like I did. More
This is exactly how a buying experience should be. It was the least stressful experience we have ever had for buying a vehicle. Ken Scott our sales guy helped with showing the trucks we were interested in. H the least stressful experience we have ever had for buying a vehicle. Ken Scott our sales guy helped with showing the trucks we were interested in. He was quick and helpful without any pressure. Josh the sales manager took even more interest in our needs. He was warm, friendly and very patient in answering all of our questions. Connie Mah was just incredible. She stayed late to make sure we got the deal done right while being the warmest person anyone would need to wrap the sale up. Broadway Toyota went far beyond meeting all of our expectations! More
I gave the highest rating because I would not have changed any part of the car buying experience I had at Broadway Toyota (except that it does take more than a half hour, but you really can't get arou changed any part of the car buying experience I had at Broadway Toyota (except that it does take more than a half hour, but you really can't get around the paperwork). I knew what I wanted when I went in. I've never looked forward to the car buying game but I was surprised by the profesionalism and straight forward communication in this dealership and with my salesperson. I bought a pre-owned Sienna that came with a great warranty and will be shopping there again for a second family car soon. It just makes sense to buy a used car from the dealer, so you know it's been checked out and comes with a warranty. It's important to know what you want and keep an eye out for it in the dealers inventory. More
OK, so I'm driving to work and the service light comes on. I'm about to leave that afternoon for a Canadian road trip with a car full of kids so I had to check in out. I drove into the dealer with no appointment and they greeted me in the indoor garage, opened my door for me, gave me a cup of coffee, a ride to work, for which I was only 5 minutes late. They picked me up when I was finished with work and I picked up my kids from school on time. They had no idea I had even taken the car in. The light came on for a routine check up, so I probably could have let it go until after our trip, but it was so easy to do it right then, so I did. The guy also gave me a coupon for the work because I didn't bring my mailer from home ( I didn't know I was going to go in) I've never gone to a full service dealer like that before and I'll nevergo anywhere else. Much as the other reviews here, I was subjected to the bait and switch. Still I bought the truck, a 2006 tundra double cab. There were many instances of my being dissatisfied, but I will just go into a fe bait and switch. Still I bought the truck, a 2006 tundra double cab. There were many instances of my being dissatisfied, but I will just go into a few. Took it in for 15,000 mile service. when backing truck out of service bay it was driven into another car. They of course were very apologetic and promised that I would have a rental for the duration of the repairs, which would take 1 week. Turned out to be more like 3 weeks and the cost of the rental was being taken out of MY checking account. The ensuing reimbursement process was 10 weeks, and started with the customer relations manager asking if she could see my bank statements to verify the charges. The receptionist couldn't have been more demeaning with comments such as "So you don't know who you are looking for?" And I thought that was what receptionists were for, directing traffic. As a side note, I have talked to many people about my problems. Everyone has said it is typical, but the one that really sticks out is my friend went in to buy parts for her coralla. The parts department said they would not sell them to her unless she got something else fixed. The parts department? I thought they sold parts. More
DO NOT BUY from this dealership . Having purchased several cars from the previous owners of this dealership , I felt comfortable and trusting when I purchased a used car from them a few months ago . I several cars from the previous owners of this dealership , I felt comfortable and trusting when I purchased a used car from them a few months ago . I had set up financing with my credit union and asked that they be used to purchase the car . I have an excellent credit rating and my score is very high . The sales staff set up the financing " off stage " with a commercial bank at a higher loan rate and simply told me that the loan was approved but not with whom nor at what rate . I was also sold an extended service contract that I do not generaly buy and only agreeded to it when I was told that if I wanted to cancell it within thirty days a full refund would be made . Upon further consideration , I decided to cancell the service contract two weeks later . I called the dealership and talked to the finance manager [ Bud Viotovski ] and went into the dealership as required to sigh papers of cancellation . This I have done TWICE with no refund in sight ! I have tried to refinance with my credit union but the cost of the service contract puts the loan over the limit that they are willing give on the car .So I repeate...DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP ! and spread the word .These people are not the reputable dealer I knew in the past !Arnolds@fastmail.fm More

7 years ago when i wanted to buy my toyota celica, i was treated so poorly by the sales staff (they kept me waiting 6 hours with delay tactics, switching reps, etc., and then tried to change the agreement a treated so poorly by the sales staff (they kept me waiting 6 hours with delay tactics, switching reps, etc., and then tried to change the agreement at the last minute just before signing) that i vowed i would never give them my business, ever. but they are within walking distance of me, and since that was so long ago, i thought perhaps things had changed. my mistake! i took my car (which i bought at royal moore, incidentally, for the deal i wanted, with no hassle, in 30 minutes) in for a 60,000 mile tune-up on 7/12/07, and the service guy told me my engine was in such bad shape it could "seize up at any time". he insinuated that i have not taken care of my engine (i have, diligently), and said that it would cost $3000 "just to look at it", and another $3000-$6000 to replace the engine and "save" the car. he then proceeded to say that my best bet was to immediately take a trade-in value for my "worthless" car and "come and see what's on our lot". i took my car to gladstone toyota for a second opinion, where it was diagnosed, fixed, and completely tuned up for less than $950, with a year warranty on all parts and labor, and a free loaner car! the person there who fixed it said that my engine was in EXCELLENT shape, save for a loose timing chain, and certainly not about to "seize up". broadway's scare tactic of trying to make me believe my car was shot and i needed to buy a new car from them was insulting and patronizing. it was the worst service experience i have ever had. this dealership is terrible in every way, dirty, cluttered, noisy, unprofessional. they are only busy because of their central location. i will never go there again and neither should you. i wouldn't give them even one star if i didn't have to in order to write this review. i now call them "BADway toyota". they have no respect and no regard for their customers, all they see is dollar signs when they look at you. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER! More
Visited this dealer to buy a 2006 Toy Tacoma. Knew exactly the options and year we wanted upfront. They were offering 3.9% finance on 06 models. They found one just like we wanted and we test drove exactly the options and year we wanted upfront. They were offering 3.9% finance on 06 models. They found one just like we wanted and we test drove and spent two hours bargaining.. we accepted a price about 1500 higher then we'd wanted. Then they dropped the bomb.. oops it's an 07. What we said.. We had stated over and over we were only looking for an 06 as the financing was the lure that brought us in. Basically they did a bait and switch on us. They were trying to push us into an 8+% finance. We left and will never do business with them again. There were lots of warning signs that these guys were screwing us over, but we didn't catch them until this far in. More
