DO NOT BUY from this dealership . Having purchased several cars from the previous owners of this dealership , I felt comfortable and trusting when I purchased a used car from them a few months ago . I several cars from the previous owners of this dealership , I felt comfortable and trusting when I purchased a used car from them a few months ago . I had set up financing with my credit union and asked that they be used to purchase the car . I have an excellent credit rating and my score is very high . The sales staff set up the financing " off stage " with a commercial bank at a higher loan rate and simply told me that the loan was approved but not with whom nor at what rate . I was also sold an extended service contract that I do not generaly buy and only agreeded to it when I was told that if I wanted to cancell it within thirty days a full refund would be made . Upon further consideration , I decided to cancell the service contract two weeks later . I called the dealership and talked to the finance manager [ Bud Viotovski ] and went into the dealership as required to sigh papers of cancellation . This I have done TWICE with no refund in sight ! I have tried to refinance with my credit union but the cost of the service contract puts the loan over the limit that they are willing give on the car .So I repeate...DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP ! and spread the word .These people are not the reputable dealer I knew in the past !Arnolds@fastmail.fm More

7 years ago when i wanted to buy my toyota celica, i was treated so poorly by the sales staff (they kept me waiting 6 hours with delay tactics, switching reps, etc., and then tried to change the agreement a treated so poorly by the sales staff (they kept me waiting 6 hours with delay tactics, switching reps, etc., and then tried to change the agreement at the last minute just before signing) that i vowed i would never give them my business, ever. but they are within walking distance of me, and since that was so long ago, i thought perhaps things had changed. my mistake! i took my car (which i bought at royal moore, incidentally, for the deal i wanted, with no hassle, in 30 minutes) in for a 60,000 mile tune-up on 7/12/07, and the service guy told me my engine was in such bad shape it could "seize up at any time". he insinuated that i have not taken care of my engine (i have, diligently), and said that it would cost $3000 "just to look at it", and another $3000-$6000 to replace the engine and "save" the car. he then proceeded to say that my best bet was to immediately take a trade-in value for my "worthless" car and "come and see what's on our lot". i took my car to gladstone toyota for a second opinion, where it was diagnosed, fixed, and completely tuned up for less than $950, with a year warranty on all parts and labor, and a free loaner car! the person there who fixed it said that my engine was in EXCELLENT shape, save for a loose timing chain, and certainly not about to "seize up". broadway's scare tactic of trying to make me believe my car was shot and i needed to buy a new car from them was insulting and patronizing. it was the worst service experience i have ever had. this dealership is terrible in every way, dirty, cluttered, noisy, unprofessional. they are only busy because of their central location. i will never go there again and neither should you. i wouldn't give them even one star if i didn't have to in order to write this review. i now call them "BADway toyota". they have no respect and no regard for their customers, all they see is dollar signs when they look at you. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER! More
Visited this dealer to buy a 2006 Toy Tacoma. Knew exactly the options and year we wanted upfront. They were offering 3.9% finance on 06 models. They found one just like we wanted and we test drove exactly the options and year we wanted upfront. They were offering 3.9% finance on 06 models. They found one just like we wanted and we test drove and spent two hours bargaining.. we accepted a price about 1500 higher then we'd wanted. Then they dropped the bomb.. oops it's an 07. What we said.. We had stated over and over we were only looking for an 06 as the financing was the lure that brought us in. Basically they did a bait and switch on us. They were trying to push us into an 8+% finance. We left and will never do business with them again. There were lots of warning signs that these guys were screwing us over, but we didn't catch them until this far in. More
We had done extensive research on the 2005 Prius, and wanted to test drive it. Broadway Toyota had a used 2004 they were trying to sell, that has the same dimensions. The sales guy was 18 years old, w wanted to test drive it. Broadway Toyota had a used 2004 they were trying to sell, that has the same dimensions. The sales guy was 18 years old, which by itself is not too bad, but he knew nothing about cars. He couldn't figure out how to turn the car on for about 10 minutes (you have to press the break before you hit the power button...). The sales guy was nice enough, but as soon as we stepped inside the building, in walks a high pressure negotiator. I had already checked on the price of a new 2005 through a credit union. $23,000. The only advantage to buying a used 2004 was it was available immediately, which was not a concern to me or my husband. They tried to sell us on the availability concept while pushing a $28,000 price tag. Are you kidding? Every time we tried to extract ourselves politely from the conversation, they improved the price, loan terms, etc. Finally my husband and I reverted to good cop / bad cop to get out of there. The sales person did two follow up calls to see if we were still interested in purchasing. I remain disgusted with their level of knowledge and their high pressure tactics. Just give me a dealer that's honest and nice, and I'll allow for a reasonable profit for their company! My advice: Credit Union car buying program, or Wentworth Subaru - who had the most knowledgable salesperson we ever met. They did apply some pressure, but it was a cake walk in comparison to Broadway Toyota. I have to supress the urge to gag every time I hear their radio commercials. The Beaverton Toyota store is the one that worked with our Credit Union. The manager of the store drove our car over and showed me how everything worked. He gave me his card and told me to call if there were any problems. He was fabulous. More
I have had my 88 Toyota Camry serviced at Broadway Toyota for the past 4 years. I ask for Emily, a service manager in the shop. She is consistently efficient, friendly and personable. I have worked with othe for the past 4 years. I ask for Emily, a service manager in the shop. She is consistently efficient, friendly and personable. I have worked with other service managers there and they are fine, though I much prefer Emily. She calls about the car when she promises and is very knowledgable about cars. More
I was promised that the Newer Toyota that I purchased had been inspected. The rear end went out two hours after I bought it. The dealer has "repaired" it 3 times and it just went out again. There is obviousl been inspected. The rear end went out two hours after I bought it. The dealer has "repaired" it 3 times and it just went out again. There is obviously another problem causing the failures, but they refuse to do anything but replace the seals which only lasts for a few months.
The engine also blew 5 weeks after I bought it. Broadway could not figure out how to replace the engine and make the emissions work properly. I now get 2-3 miles less per gallon after their work. Oh, and they bent the front bumper while replacing the engine.
They also told me that they would give me my money back towards a trade. After several hours of negotiation on the price of another vehicle, they refused to give me more than $6000 LESS than I had paid for it. This was two days after they had promised to give me what I had paid for it... Overall, a horrible experience in every way possible. A terrible dealership.
More
