We went to the New Bern Toyota dealership looking for a used car to replace our Jaguar which we had sold to our son for one dollar. We met Tommy Jones on the lot where he was working. He impressed my wife and I for his friendliness and efficiency. He also impressed us with what he was not: rude, pushy, disdainful, or rushed. We did not see what we had in mind as it had been sold the day before; so we left. I did further research on the internet looking at both used and new vehicles. We decided that we could obtain what we wished by buying a year end model. We called Tommy and set up an appointment. While we were not in a rush, we felt we could continue our investigation and had plenty of time before the new model year. We were again positively impressed with Tommy. He is friendly, knowledgeable of his products, a listener, customer oriented, and unrushed. Needless to say he produced a deal which satisfied both of us. We closed the deal that day. Tommy, then showed us what a pro he was by taking care of the registration and insurance. The piece de resistance was to deliver the car to our house before we had returned home. If all the employes of the dealership are as professional and good as Tommy, the dealership ranks among the best we have ever dealt with in buying over 12 cars. He made the buying experience a pleasure and not a hassle. More
Salesperson was very knowledgeable and courteous. He worked with us on establishing a sales price that was agreeable to both parties. We just contacted our insurance company and were informed that Mr. Emmers had not contacted them regarding our new vehicle. He had indicated he would do this on Monday, and today is Tuesday. He also told us to come by on Monday morning for any questions we may have had on the new vehicle; however he was not at work. While we understand that situations arise that may be beyond his control he could have called us at home to let us know when he would be available. We drove all the way from home to the dealership (apprx 20 miles RT) and did not get answers to our questions regarding the vehicle's navigation system. More

We were contacted by email and telephone prior to our visit. We were welcomed on arrival at the dealership. We were interested in purchasing an Avalon and discussed our preferences for specific model, visit. We were welcomed on arrival at the dealership. A suitable car was in stock and the salesman demonstrated features of the car and provided a test drive. We were introduced to a member of the service department. The salesman briefly discussed price with us and introduced a member of the business department. We discussed prices on the new car and our trade-in. We agreed on prices for each and documentation for registering the car was completed. We were asked about financing the automobile and assistance with transfer of the insurance but declined both. Our personal gear was transferred rom the old car to the new and we took possession. We were given telephone numbers to call if we had questions. We found the vehicle by driving passed on the highway. When the salesman approached us he was not pushy or manipulative. The salesman, Michael Moore was professional, friendly, and sincere, unlike my previous experiences with car salesmen, We felt he was honest and interested in our opinion about the vehicle. He did not try to convince us of anything rather he was factual and understanding. The financing was well handled but as usual a lengthy process. They took care of all the details efficiently. We returned at a later date to pick up the license plate. It couldn't have been easier. We have been very satisfied with our used vehicle. But the best part of our experience was the car salesman, Michael Moore. Now how often can you say that. More

It was the easiest car purchase I have ever experienced. So nice to drive away having enjoyed the whole process. Paul deserves all the credit for this. I have already recommended to other family membersthat they go out to Toyota and speak with Paul about buying a new car. He is a wonderful asset for Toyota. In dealing with the salespeople, I assumed that they would be forthcoming in giving me the best price possible, particularly since I am a new customer. I went to toyota to get a new car. I talked to gray and set up an appointment. He was really nice showed me the car i wanted and i was in love with it. i told him my budget and he said he can work somethin set up an appointment. Gray told me since it was the last one and a new one wouldnt be in for a while he can give me a discount. i thought discount, great, ill learn to love it. Then he said id get the military discount so im my head im thinking discounts discounts discounts. I tol dhim my budget in the beginning and when it got to paperwork time he came back about 3 times with an amount that was way higher than my budget. i mean i could still afford it but i was going to be tight. i was so into the car i had my fussy son with me i trusted him. he never really told me the real price id be paying. Weeks later when i finally decided to look at the receipts i noticed im going to be paying soo much for the next couple of years. I analyzed numbers more and i didnt get ripped off per say but with all the discounts and rebates i was told it was going to get i feel like i did. I am now living paycheck to paycheck. I am not blaming anybody but i definately feel like i got cheated. I dont think he was a good salesperson ive been to other dealers trying to trade my car and they were all definately better they tried to find something that worked for me and my budget. They didnt know about my trade in. It was basically the worst mistake ive ever made going to toyota of new bern. More
