They made us wait for 3 hours for no reason, agreed to our price and made us sign the paperwork including financial information, social security numbers and then came back that we can't accept your deal in highly unprofessional way like a threat. You have two options either pay us more or literally have a good day. very disappointed in whole dealership, will not buy from them even they are close to our location. Please be beware of their service. Thanks More

He was SUPER FRIENDLY and NICE. He WAS NOT PUSHY or AGGRESSIVE and took the time to sit with me to find the right vehicle that would fit my family and I within my budget. I was HIGHLY impressed with his patience! I really enjoyed driving the 2017 Toyota RAV4 SE model. The car rode smoothly and was attractive on the inside and the outside and came with irresistible safety features and up to date technology. The price was right for my trade in for my Chevy Equinox and for the RAV4. Needless to say, Michael helped me set-up the Bluetooth and voice activation, he went over all the safety functions and set-up the preferences, filled the tank and also had it detailed within the hour. I never once felt taking advantage with the price of the vehicle and he worked hard to stay within my budget. I also worked with Shawn Stengele in the finance department he was very helpful and friendly as well. He had all the paperwork for the vehicle ready and prepared and took the time to go over each piece of information in detail and made sure to answer all my questions so I could fully understand the information being given. I never once felt rushed with either experience and overall I felt like family! Thank you both for leaving me with such a great experience and exceptional customer service! You both have made excellent first impressions and I will make sure I expose your names when referring friends, family and co-workers to the Toyota of New Bern Dealership. Buyer Beware! Last Friday, February 10, 2017, my son and I stopped in Toyota of New Bern where we met Alex Barletta a salesperson with the dealership. We told Mr. B Last Friday, February 10, 2017, my son and I stopped in Toyota of New Bern where we met Alex Barletta a salesperson with the dealership. We told Mr. Barletta we were looking for an earlier model Toyota Sequoia between 2005 and 2007. Mr. Barletta called his sales manager Steve Schmitz and said they had a 2005 model with 200K miles in the back. My son drove the car and decided for the year model and mileage the asking price was in line with other vehicles he had looked at. While in Mr. Barletta’s office we were told that there was a dealer ad on fee of $695.00. My son agreed to the price including the extra fee. He then called his bank and had the funds wired into the dealership’s account all the time thinking he was buying 2005 model. We were then taken to Mr. Tim Abram’s office to complete the license and registration documents. Mr. Abram while reviewing the vehicle information stated it was a 2003 model. WOW surprise surprise. I asked Mr. Barletta after leaving Mr. Abram’s office what year was the Sequoia my son just purchased from him he replied he did not remember even though it had been only a few minutes since he himself had completed the transaction. I wonder, is this the way business is done at Toyota of New Bern or just an example of incompetence on behalf of the sales staff. You decide is Toyota of New Bern where you want to do business? More

Do not drive out of your way to get here! Do not drive out of your way to get here!!! I spoke with Jenny Valentin on the phone literally ALL day about a used vehicle. She went back and forth w Do not drive out of your way to get here!!! I spoke with Jenny Valentin on the phone literally ALL day about a used vehicle. She went back and forth with me on a price and we finally agreed on an out the door price. They are over an hour away. She ASSURED me that she has four kids and that she's a trustworthy person so I wouldn't be wasting my time if I drove there. I have a 15 month old. So driving anywhere is never really that pleasant. We went to the bank and got the loan for the amount she said. Mind you under the VIN she gave us. She told us it would be detailed and ready for us when we got there for our 630 appointment. When we walked in no one had any idea what we were talking about. Jenny had left for the day. I double checked to make sure we were even at the right dealership. We were! The car (which by the way is a $40,000 SUV) wasn't pulled up and most certainly wasn't detailed. When they went and got it it looked like someone was living inside of it. There was dirty bottles, change everywhere and shirts in the back of it. It was a mess. We were told It had 9000 miles on it and some change. When we got there it had 10, 000 approaching 11,000. Something was for sure off. But I was again assured that it would be detailed and ready for me to go. They had me drive it. Then sat me down and quoted me literally thousands more that what Jenny and I agreed on. I was both flabbergasted and very angry. They took my phone with all our texts and came back with it. Their response? "Sorry Jenny is new and doesn't really know what she's doing so she was in the wrong telling you this." 😡 If I could share screen shots on here I would. We literally were texting all day. And she most certainly was talking with her sales manager. Why make her look like an incompetent little girl? Oh that's right. Because they never intended to honor what they said to begin with. And this was all a ruse to get me there. I don't care if they call me and tell me they'll honor below what I was initially offered. I'll never go back to this place again. They are untrustworthy and a great way to waste your time. I can't imagine that the vehicles they sell are not lemons. It's likely just a lucky shot if you get a good one. More
Sales Experience Was Very Good Recently purchased a new SUV at Toyota of New Bern. Bruce Smith was our salesman and he was excellent. Patient, straightforward, easy to deal with. Recently purchased a new SUV at Toyota of New Bern. Bruce Smith was our salesman and he was excellent. Patient, straightforward, easy to deal with. Once we had reached a deal, I was turned over to "finance". This basically consisted of signing papers and having extended warranty pushed on me. I found this to be obnoxious. The reason I bought the Toyota was for its reliability. Then the finance guy starts telling me that I will need this coverage and how everything is so expensive to fix these days. I felt like saying "well if this vehicle is going to be such a maintenance headache, then forget the deal". If it were not for the interaction with finance, I would have rated the experience a ten.
