Henry Morillo is a fantastic representative of Hyundai. Everyone gets a bit apprehensive and uneasy when you first walk into a dealership and are immediately approached by salespersons. Luckily, we were Everyone gets a bit apprehensive and uneasy when you first walk into a dealership and are immediately approached by salespersons. Luckily, we were referred to him by another satisfied customer which speaks for itself. Henry's professional, kind, friendly and sincere attitude towards the customer (us) immediately put us at ease and allowed us to trust in him leading to our purchase of the vehicle with our best interest in mind. He was very meticulous with showing and explaining in simple terms, all of the intricate details and controls, to include the capabilities and limitations of the Kona, the financial transactions and registration processes which helped us understand and influence our decision to buy that very same day. He also took into consideration our financial limitations which also had a huge and positive impact on our decision to buy. After the purchase was made, he went out of his way to assist and guide us with our insurance company as we got the Kona added onto our policy. The Kona would replace our 2007 Elantra (purchased from the same dealership back in 2007) which is still running very well with an impressive 307,000+ miles on it (which made us decide on another Hyundai for it's replacement). My wife and I are recently fully retired and decided that a Hyundai (the Kona) will be our final vehicle (we trust that with proper care and maintenance, we can get the similar dependable performance). Henry should be commended for making the sales and transactions smooth and painless for us! More
I really think the sales team has been awesome with their service. The main reason why we continue to buy from Tony Hyundai. The service department on the other hand has been disappointing. This is my second vehicle from Tony Hyundai, Second, only because I was, and I am very pleased with the service. My original salesperson was Henry Murillo but, we got our date/time mixed up and he was out of because I was, and I am very pleased with the service. My original salesperson was Henry Murillo but, we got our date/time mixed up and he was out of Office. Since I needed a car immediately, Mr Ken Smiley stepped up, and he lives up to his name :-). I had a price range to pay for a car, and Ken worked his magic,' and I even got a Ken Smiley' discount to meet my price :-). I will definitely recommend Tony Hyundai and Ken Smiley. Mahalo More

Initially, I would have given this review a 1 or 2 star review, however, being able to speak to management about my concerns and being able to discuss my dissatisfaction with my sale service prompted me to review, however, being able to speak to management about my concerns and being able to discuss my dissatisfaction with my sale service prompted me to make this a 4 star rating. I understand that sometimes situations are outside of the hands of people, however, I feel that Tony Hyundai usually lives up to their motto of "we strive to make your shopping experience easy and simple," was not the experience they gave. Plus, the idea of being taken care of to experience the "awesome guest experience" was not really happening either. Before I go into detail of what did not work well, I want to say that I patiently waited for over 4 hours at their dealership. This caused me to miss half a day of work and lunch. I did my best to prepare as much as possible beforehand, unfortunately, things did not flow as smoothly. 1. Paperwork - I had leased in the past and am aware of some of the information that is needed, but paperwork has always been the part that takes the most time. I had mentioned to my salesperson that to send me any documents or information beforehand so that I could fill them out so Hyundai could start the review process. I was only told to fill out the financial application online and when I got to the dealership, they were implementing a new system and was later given all of the paperwork that needed to be filled out. 2. Wait time - I waited over 4 hours to complete this process and luckily could complete some of my work over my phone. They began asking more personal questions regarding my application, which I felt was unnecessary, but assured me that it was part of the process. My salesperson was considerate and offered me water and coffee, however, when asking why the process was taking so long, he just said it's part of the review and that the manager was on the phone with them. I guess that meant the screening process has become more detailed than in the past. 3. Finance paperwork - Considering the amount of time I was waiting, I thought that the finance portion would be quick, but I luckily I looked over my paperwork because there were a ton of errors. The finance manager apologized for the error, it was just unfortunate that it had to happen. When the sales manager came in, he looked over the computer screen the finance manager was on and kind of just glanced over me. There was no acknowledgement, until I joked about getting some free hand wash car washes for being here so long, in return he replied, "yes, with that car (being black), it would be better to hand wash than the car wash." After that, he left and that was that. 4. Spent less time learning about my vehicle than just sitting away at the dealership - Luckily, my salesperson was considerate and although he had other customers, he wanted to make sure I was taken care of first. With so much time passing, he gave me a quick rundown of my vehicle and said that I could schedule another appointment to go into more detail. I appreciated that as I too was getting exhausted from my day. So after that experience, I thought I wouldn't recommend Tony Hyundai to anyone, however, since feedback is welcome here, I thought I'd voice my concerns. Management did a great job in listening to my concerns and explaining how they will improve for future services. They also acknowledged that this is not the typical procedure for a commercial lease and when listening to him on what their process is, it totally made sense. It was a good discussion and I felt that my feelings towards my experience was valid and that I wasn't just another buyer. To me, a business that can own up to it's errors and acknowledge the value of a customer's patience means a lot. I am thankful to be heard and to know that improvements will be made in the future.
