So, I bought a car in January, and had many issues which the finance team assured me they’d help with, after I bought it. Not only didn’t they help, but They ignored me completely. I brought my car back t the finance team assured me they’d help with, after I bought it. Not only didn’t they help, but They ignored me completely. I brought my car back today for service and while there I looked at another car. I worked with Austin (who was awesome) because he ACTUALLY kept in contact with me. When I got home, The owner Matthew Laughridge (candidate for congress in 2020) “sent” me an email. It obviously was canned and had nothing direct connection to this person, but I responded and told him that it made me angry that he took time to respond when there was the smell of money in the air, and I called him a joke, i said I’d rather just deal with Austin, who was honest. The sales manager Eric Stallworth responded that they were “not dealing with me as a customer any more.” I have the emails and will be happy to furnish to anyone who is interested. This type of tactic should be banned from business today. The fact that you can’t take feedback about when you screw up and make it right, makes me ill. Do better Mr Laughridge. Mr Stallworth, this isn’t the first time you were obnoxious to me, so I’m not surprised. But you should also do better in creating a customer experience. More
We bought a brand-new Hyundai Elantra we waited for couple of months to arrive. Once we drove the car home, the check engine light came on. To keep it brief, we took it back for repairs. After 2 weeks the dealer thought they had fixed the issue however; upon leaving the parking lot the check engine light came on again. This went on for a while and part after part and after one month of guessing and trying we were told the car was ready to be picked up. When we went to pick up the car, I asked one of the managers “the owner’s son” JT Laughridge if he/they, as a nice gesture, would do something to compensate for the inconvenience and the fact this is a brand-new car, and we had to pay a whole month worth of insurance while they are keeping the “brand-new” car, the answer was “It is not our fault your car had issues. The best I can do is put some gas in it”. Wow, what a sorry answer that was. So, after they kept the car for one month and test drove it for many miles each time they replaced a part, they did not have the decency to actually top off the gas tank before we arrived. And to add insult to injury, he said he would do me a “FAVOR” and put some gas in it. A favor? At that point I realized it is best if I left the place. By now I’ve learned the type of poor service and customer care they provide after the transaction is complete. If you are in the market to purchase a new vehicle I would say good luck, one for choosing a Hyundai and two purchase it from Terry Reid Hyundai. More
Ordered parts for my car 5 months ago and was charged for them. To date, the parts have still not come in and can’t get anyone to confirm with me when they will. JT Laughridge is, perhaps, the finest sales manager I've dealt with in the automotive industry. Although we weren't able to put a deal together, JT's follow up was fantastic. Tillman sold me a car and told me it had bluelink, after about 3 weeks of going back and forth with him come to find out that the car doesn’t have it. I wanted a very specific vehicle that turned out to be difficult to find in today’s market, but these guys did everything they could to get me the car I wanted. Miles was very helpful & accommodating at e difficult to find in today’s market, but these guys did everything they could to get me the car I wanted. Miles was very helpful & accommodating at every stage & the manager Eric was kind & even stepped in to assist in the search for my car to make sure I received it in a timely manner. This team did not try to convince me to buy a different car or settle on something I didn’t truly want just to sell me a car; they even called other dealerships to check to see if someone else had the car I wanted near by & ultimately secured one. Christian in the finance department was even super personable & helpful when it came time to sign the finance paperwork. The team at Terri Reid made sure all my questions were answered and the entire process was enjoyable. I cannot recommend these guys enough, they stand out above the rest. More
