Shawnee to $7000 off MSRP I was going to order a Tesla when they lowered the Model Y over $10,000 but good for Ford lowering their prices. BUT NO.. Worst car buying experience I have ever had they told me you was okay that I didn't have the license and as long as I have a designated driver I could buy the car not even three days later the car started you was okay that I didn't have the license and as long as I have a designated driver I could buy the car not even three days later the car started messing up the next week the car wouldn't even turn on without having to be jumped every time they wouldn't even take responsibility for trying to fix the car they keep sending me to a different dealership the manager is very rude and the sales lady that I dealt with isn't doing her job the right way nor will she listen she tries to bully you into doing what she wants because she messed up somewhere along the line More
Buy a car from Shawnee Mission Ford if you love getting the run around. Buy one from them if you're okay with spending money with them and then having to take your car in multiple times to the point where the run around. Buy one from them if you're okay with spending money with them and then having to take your car in multiple times to the point where your car has been in service more than you've actually driven it. Purchase a vehicle from this company if you think it's not an issue to leave multiple messages after telling everyone that there are significant problems with the car you bought and having them ignored. Did I purchase a used vehicle? Yes. With a clean Carfax and the backing of a large dealership with their reputation on the line. Was the conversation had prior to purchase that a full service on the vehicle would be done and the car would be in tip top shape for me when I bought it? Yes. Did my car then sit for 2 months "waiting on a part" only for me to get it back for it to have significant computer issues that I TOLD them about when I took it in? Indeed. Oh and this was after getting the run around for a month before that. Oh? And the issue I was told was "just the jack and spare tire moving around"? Yeah, it's for sure not. In conclusion, just go spend your money somewhere else. More

our family vehicle crapped out on us unexpectedly and after looking around for a newer vehicle, all we were finding was high mark ups, bad customer service, and no one willing to work with us. We went to after looking around for a newer vehicle, all we were finding was high mark ups, bad customer service, and no one willing to work with us. We went to Shawnee Mission Ford and Mike Alzatar was amazing. He was able to find us a newer vehicle with low monthly payments and reliable. His customer service was above and beyond and i would recommend this dealership 100% More
Called to check on a F150 Lariat that I liked only to be told that they couldn't find the vehicle on the lot. 2 weeks later I was called and said they did find it and then sent me pics but it was the wrong told that they couldn't find the vehicle on the lot. 2 weeks later I was called and said they did find it and then sent me pics but it was the wrong vehicle. They did locate the correct vehicle later that day and sent me pics to confirm so I agreed to come test drive the truck. However, they sent me an email confirmation of my test drive with a different vehicle. I still went. Test drive was fine except that the truck was out of alignment and cutting tires. I asked if I could leave my car as collateral and or pay a deposit to take the vehicle home to see if it would fit in the garage next to my wife's full size SUV and then return that night or the next day. The saleswoman checked with her manager and they said yes, but we need to come to an agreement on price first, otherwise, there is no need to proceed. I didn't like this, but was serious about buying the truck so I agreed. Then they hit me with a $5000 extended warranty and another $1800 for ceramic coating, plus doc fees, etc. Nearly $8K more than the sticker price. Huh? They said that it was highly recommended that I choose these services, but I refused and they removed. Then we negotiated and came to terms on a price and they made me sign a purchase agreement. I asked if I could go and they said no, you still need to make a $1000 deposit, which I did. I was handed the keys but then told to wait as they needed to get the vehicle into service first because they took it on a trade and it had been loaned out so they hadn't had a chance to service yet. I only wanted to take it home for the night but they refused but said they would get it in tomorrow and call me. So now I have signed a purchase agreement and paid $1K deposit but I still can't take the truck, but I was serious about the truck, so I agreed. They called me the next day and told me that they had to replace tires, brakes, rotors, etc. and that if I still wanted the truck, I would need to pay $2K more!! What?! You made me sign a purchase agreement that I didn't want to sign, and I paid a $1k deposit. Isn't that contractual? I asked to be transferred to the manager (Jeremy) who I went through the timeline of events and who told me that I was getting a great deal by only charging $2K more as he could sell this for $2K more than that because it was a Lariat and they didn't have any on the lot. I told him how dissatisfied I was and that I too was in business, but if I treated customers like this, I wouldn't be. He admitted that they shouldn't have had me sign the purchase agreement but that this would be the new price if I wanted to proceed. I again said how unscrupulous this was to break a deal that already had a purchase agreement and a deposit down. He finally said OK, will you be paying cash or credit/financing with us? I said neither. You can keep your truck as I don't want to do business with anyone who would renege on a done deal. Very unorganized outfit and unscrupulous. I think they already had another buyer and this is why they were reneging on the original deal. This is a warning for anyone else who may be interested in a vehicle at Shawnee Mission Ford. Buyer beware. More
We need to be heard. Dont go here. We ordered a Bronco 2 years ago and it finally showed up! We were SO excited! the wait wasn't an issue, that was supply chain th Dont go here. We ordered a Bronco 2 years ago and it finally showed up! We were SO excited! the wait wasn't an issue, that was supply chain things that no one had control of. THE PROBLEM CAME when we arrived to pick up the car we ordered from Ford.com and were placed with this dealership. It took us 6 hours at the dealership to pick up a car we had already ordered and supposedly sent in applications for the loan so it was going to be fast. It took 6 hours. We were the only customers in there for a lot of the day, so it wasn't due to it being busy. I can only guess that it was a tactic after what happened to us there. The salesman was great and we have worked with him for the interim 2 years so that part was fine. It was the finance team that was Abhorrent and actually Used illegal tactics to coerce us into getting an extended warranty. We were told that the interest rate was going to be 6% and I knew that was too much so I asked for them to do better. The finance man Tony came out and said "they couldnt sell us the car without the warranty" and he could do 5.5% and that he could give us a better deal on the extended warranty. That rate was still Over market rate, and my credit is 815 with plenty in the bank and income, so I know that was a tactic on their side not due to our finances. I pushed back, and [who I was told was the manager] Marlena Morgan came out and told us IF we buy the extended warranty we could get 3.9% and if not we would have to now pay 7% She said that the bank wouldn't take a loan if we didn't purchase the warranty. And that was the final answer. We opted to get that since we were told in no uncertain terms that was the only way to get market rate interest. I am not used to buying new cars so I didn't know better till later. I called the bank. That is not true. They don't, and NEVER have required that a buyer purchase the extended warranty. FURTHERMORE after some research it is ILLEGAL to tie purchase together in that way. [Its called "Tied Selling" feel free to look it up. I wish I had known before going.] We were lied to to make us spend THOUSANDS of more dollars than we had to. I just got off the phone with Marlena, she told me [and I have a recording] that I was mistaken. "We must have had a lot going on that day and didn't remember". My wife was there. I was there. I made sure to ask why we had to buy the warranty to get the interest rate. She said it was the bank policy. That was a lie. It was Illegal. I am so angry at this. UPDATE: just off the phone with the GM Jeremy [who made sure to let us know that he was having a good day and that our problem wouldn't make it a bad day]. He doubled down and said that it must have been us confusing the part when Tony said "we can't sell you this car without the warranty" or when Marlena said "we HAD to get the warranty or the bank wont give us the loan". I recognize that he has to support his staff. I also recognize that I have the power of the internet to let you the customer or potential customer know that THEY LIE AND THEN TELL YOU THAT *YOU* DON'T REMEMBER RIGHT IF CONFRONTED. WE love the car, buy one from someone else. More
I brought my vehicle to Shawnee Mission Ford Service Department to get an oil change. After getting the vehicle back it now does not run properly. I would not recommend this dealership to do anything Department to get an oil change. After getting the vehicle back it now does not run properly. I would not recommend this dealership to do anything to your vehicle. A SIMPLE oil change and now bigger issues. Coincidence? I think not. My vehicle was running perfectly with only 25,000 miles on it. Then they wanted to charge me $169.00 to diagnose what THEY did to my vehicle. Shame on you Shawnee Mission Ford. More
