I had been search for a car for a couple of weeks and did not understand why financing the vehicle was so hard. Victor explained the whole process too me, the different between the the type of dealers I visited and Russ Darrow Honda, and ultimately he was able to clear up all of my doubt. Victor and Malcolm were men of their word and got me approved for the vehicle I wanted. Malcolm, thank you man for approaching me and making me test drive that car. Respectful, Friendly, No-pressure, and great price I worked with Lesia for about a month, test driving vehicles and validating functionality. She was great to work with, and I'd recommend her to others. When I finally decided to make my purchase, I told Lesia that I'd give her/Darrow the first and last shot at selling the vehicle. I explained that I had a trade, and the trade in value was probably going to determine where I ultimately purchased my new Honda. I came prepared with internet shopping quotes from Milwaukee and Chicago Honda dealers and I also had an independent appraisal done of my trade in vehicle, and I knew what I was likely to get in the market. I expected to visit 4 other dealers in the upcoming weeks. I also had a 'Buy Today' price/trade in mind if a dealer was real aggressive. I didn't want any extra dealer adds, as I planned on purchasing them separately and installing them myself, but the vehicle that I was interested in at Darrow had a few additions. For some dealers this can be a wrinkle in the negotiating process. The first quote was aggressive, but it didn't hit my 'Buy Today' price point. Lesia brought over Al Cobb, and after only a few minutes discussion discussing my market research and buying philosophy, we hit the target. There was no pressure, only a respectable conversation leading to a purchase. I received a great price on the new vehicle, a better trade in allowance than I expected , a fair price on the dealer adds, and no pushing of other post-sale dealer value-adds. I might have saved a few hundred dollars if I did the dealer bake-off, but I doubt it - and frankly, it wouldn't have been worth my time. Plus, I've had great purchasing and service experience previously at Darrow Honda, so I knew I'd be taken care of again. More

purchase experience of vehicle I don't have anything very negative to say, our salesman was very personable and may certainly do well in the future, but it was a little obvious he w I don't have anything very negative to say, our salesman was very personable and may certainly do well in the future, but it was a little obvious he was brand new to the sales world and needs to study up on the ins and outs of the vehicles he is selling and be more armed, to be able to answer vehicle questions. I think it was fortunate for him that I knew what I wanted in a vehicle and price, as I may not have stayed. Again I think if he had someone shadow him to help him along he has the potential to be very successful. The Russ Darrow experience was low key, which I appreciated, however a couple of things that I experienced I feel shouldn't have happened. First the vehicle was nearly out of gas when test driving it and though I purchased it, I was expecting at least a near full tank when I left the lot, but it was only filled less than a quarter tank, enough to get me home I guess?. A little disappointing when I did spend a significant amount of money. Secondly a headlight was out that I didn't know about till I was half way home and I had to turn on the lights as evening was just arriving. I guess shame on me for not inspecting it much closer, however the much vaunted "Certified" vehicle rating that you pay extra for, failed in my opinion. I live 45 minutes away and it was a pain to follow up on that, travel and time wise. The dealership is busy and clean. I wouldn't have any problem recommending them to anyone, but I wanted to vent slightly and make one aware to check even the most minor of things before leaving or buying. More

D’Airre Wilder / Sales Rep and Al Cobb / Sales Manager responded quickly during negotiations. When I wanted to know availability of a car, they volunteered pictures of the car and sticker. The final offer was competitive. This offer amount remained the same in the paperwork. All as expected. Jonathan Maxwell / Finance Ma nager was thorough and explained the paperwork. D’Airre was friendly and helpful in showing me the new features on the car. Al Cobb and Jonathan Maxwell were also friendly, helpful. All of them made the sale a pleasant experience and I was treated fairly. More
