It is with great displeasure that i have to say we were happy with the BMW brand of reliability and quality. We have owned/and leased BMS's since 2000. At least 5 of these vehicles with great fun and pleas happy with the BMW brand of reliability and quality. We have owned/and leased BMS's since 2000. At least 5 of these vehicles with great fun and pleasure and service fairness. However after advising BMW that the brakes were a great disappointment on this particular vehicle several times. Constant sensitive braking and short stopping and then driving our X1 for less than 20,000 only to experience pre-mature brake wear. We were told it was normal. Front brakes yes maybe, but not rear....And after being told we have to pay for service for the repairs for which we know in not normal brake wear. We are sorry to say that in the price range of this vehicle, there are many other choices in the market and for a $500 repair, BMW is loosing a lifelong customer. So the major problem this time was the amount of time that it took to get my inspection and a warning alert done. It took over 8+ hours (I think that was too long given what was being done), and then wh that it took to get my inspection and a warning alert done. It took over 8+ hours (I think that was too long given what was being done), and then when I was asked to come get it, it took another 45 minutes. Also I recall when I got the car a couple of years back, that if I had to drop off the car, you'd get a loaner. No loaner was available, of course. So much for that advantage. Also, no more car washes. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I am just being honest. More
