First off, Bob was great! the day prior to purchasing Bob and I spoke over the phone and I explained what i was looking for. He was able to call me back with in an hour with the right car for me! My wife and I went into this dealership knowing what vehicle we were looking for, the Chevy Traverse. We had already visited another dealership and had gotten a good deal, and the salesman was nice. I try to do my due diligence before making any purchases. when we met Bob, he immediately put us at ease with is humor and had us laughing until we left. During that time he also got us a deal that beat the offer we had previously gotten. The deal put me in the price range I was looking for and saw no reason to walk away or keep looking. When the vehicle we were waiting on didn't show up Bob was able to get me into another vehicle with more features for the same price tag. We had a very positive experience with Bob. More

The promotion/offer I was given when I purchased a new 2013 Chevy Cruze in 2012 from Paramus Chevrolet is not being honored. The offer, in writing, says “1st Oil Charge Free + Every 3rd oil change free f 2013 Chevy Cruze in 2012 from Paramus Chevrolet is not being honored. The offer, in writing, says “1st Oil Charge Free + Every 3rd oil change free for life + 1 free oil change as well per year”. I got my first oil change free with no problem. When I had brought my car in for the second oil change (which was in 2013) I was told it wasn’t free, and had to push and eventually Tim Tarrant got it taken care of so that it was free, and I was told the full offer was now on my record so I wouldn’t have any more issues. However, I scheduled an appointment online earlier this week for today & put a reminder about the offer and that it should be free, since I unfortunately expected there may be an issue. I also sent Tim an e-mail with the same note that I put in the online scheduler to help try to reduce the chance of an issue. I received a call from Michelle in Service who told me it’s not free, and eventually transferred me to Tim Tarrant again. I explained the situation and he said he would talk to them. He replied back to my e-mail Wednesday morning and told me that after he spoke to Michelle & the service manager that “…they both concluded that you would get every third oil change free and an additional one free per year but you do have to pay for the oil changes in between the free ones.” I was also told in a follow up by Tim “I have been over ridden by the service dept. they said you have to pay for the next two oil changes then the next one would be free and you can get your next one free for the year and then every 3rd oil change free for life. That is how it has to be I was told by service.” That to me, makes it seem like he did agree with me how the offer should be handled, which is the impression I got when I first spoke to him on the phone (otherwise I would have thought he’d tell me he didn’t agree upfront and not go talk to them like he did – after all, he is the one who gave & wrote the offer to us. I have attached the full e-mail exchange that I had with Tim (file titled “email with tim.pdf”). What makes this even worse for me, is that the added offer of the additional free oil change per year was done because we felt we were in a bait & switch situation at the time we were purchasing the car. I was looking for a car after Sandy destroyed both of ours. I had talked via e-mail, chat & phone about the specific car I wanted, options colors and pricing, and I said I was getting a ride to just come pick up the car with check in hand. Then when we got there we were told that the car had more options on it so the price was higher, even though that was already discussed. We were considering just leaving, but were in a tight spot since we needed a car. This was offered, as well as a gas card (which also never came, until recently they filled up my gas tank for me during a service appointment to compensate for it). Spending close to $30,000 on a car, to then have to do so much just to get the free oil changes I was promised, in writing, is in credibly frustrating. I brought the car in today, since it needed the oil change, and paid for it. Even got the recommended maintenance done at the same time, because Michael & Ann in the Service Department have been very nice each time I see them there, and they seem genuine. More

He is was so nice and worked to helped me get a car.He talked to me with total understanding of where i was coming from .He made sure above and beyond to get me the car in my budget range and helped me get my car that same night .Also I want to thank the other gentlemen who work at Chevrolet who helped me .Also meeting the owner who thanked me for my business.So i just want to say thank you again Bob for helping me and making feel comfortable and get to car in my time of need.I will truly recommend Chevrolet of Paramus to friends and family .Thank you! I am very happy that I picked Paramus Chevrolet for my 2014 Malibu. The entire staff was extremely nice and helpful ( was introduced to the Parts Department and the Service center). Most important was the fact that I had BOB BROOKS as my salesperson. Talk about making the whole process of getting a new car easy! Bob ( first name basis now!) is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions while at the same time making you feel like you have been over to his house for a BBQ for 20 years. Not at all pretentious, great sense of humor which really put me at ease. He was also very helpful in keeping this whole process under wraps because I wanted to surprise my wife with the car for her birthday/Christmas. In summary if you are reading this trying to figure out which dealer you should try...go to Paramus Chevrolet and please ask for BOB BROOKS he is A#1, very professional, and would never "steer" (ha,ha) you wrong. We had a 10 am appointment with Tom and he was right on time, we didn't have to wait a minute. The time we spent in his office was very pleasurable, he didn't pressure us at all, and he made sure that he addressed all our concerns. The paperwork was very quick too. I would recommend anyone wanting to by a vehicle to go visit Tom Mann. More

I could have picked up the car on that day except I needed to arrange the cancelation of my old lease. We set the delivery time for 3 business days later and everyone was on time for the delivery. The delivery of the car took less than 1 hour. All of the paperwork was ready and I just needed to sign the forms which took about 10 minutes. The remainder of the time was spent with the salesman (Bob Brooks) going over the features of the car. All in all, the buying experience at Paramus Chevrolet was great! More
