As everyone else agrees, shopping for a car is just not fun. I had shopped around for a car and Acura was the last stop on my list. I went in knowing what I wanted and had my game face on. I told him what I wanted and a ball park range of my monthly payment. He worked his magic and then sent me over to Warren, the Finance guy. He was very knoweldgeable and humerous. Normally sitting in an office signing your life away is pretty stressful. Warren painted a whole new picture about that. He made me feel very comfortable and explained everything. While I was waiting, Mike had showed me the cafe area where I could help myself with coffee and snacks. Everyone was very friendly and hard working. I, Olivia Batraki, like all other Americans, dread shopping for a car. It is an unbearable and frustrating experience. We walked in with our game faces on, ready to negotiate, and prepared to spend a shopping for a car. It is an unbearable and frustrating experience. We walked in with our game faces on, ready to negotiate, and prepared to spend a whole day arguing with every employee at the dealership, according to our experiences in the past. However, I assure you without any exaggeration, I had a pleasant hassle-free experience at Open Road Acura at Wayne. For the first time, again no exaggeration, I wasn't insulted nor did I insult any dealer employees. No one spoke to me in a condescending tone nor vice versa. It was truly a pure pleasure from the get-go. They were direct, understanding, and willing to work with us. I never give reviews or rates unless truly deserved and this dealership (primarily their employees Ken Shattuck who is the Sales Rep and Warren Talmo the finance manager) does. After we agreed on a price, the finance manager, Warren, was extremely humorous and very very intelligent. He was very knowledgeable because of his previous experiences which gained our trust and respect. I just couldn't believe that we bought a car with smiles on our faces from the first encounter with the sales rep (Ken) to the end with the finance manager. They were accommodating, willing to listen, and gave us a great deal! They didn't play games because finally, a dealership "gets it." Consumers are much smarter now with the vast amount of information available now. Plus, they "get" the negative connotation car shopping has and figured a method on how to sympathize and ease the pain for consumers. I assure you, they did give us a a steal - we went to 2 dealerships prior for the same type of pre-certified car and we researched prices online from our cellphones as we were test driving the car. They have gained a loyal customer in us and we have a very large family which were loyal to a dealership in Clifton, NJ. After aweing our family with our experience, they all plan on switching dealership and purchasing their cars from this specific dealer. Please feel free to contact me directly. I was shopping for a Certified Pre-owned vehicle and a friend suggested I look at an Acura RDX. Being a savy shopper, I turned to the internet. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. I found Open Road Acura to have the most competetive price and that's what brought me into the dealership I actually traveled over and hour to this dealership and I'm glad I did. Upon arrival, I was greated by Nicholas Mancuso. I told him what I wanted and he showed me the inventory. He allowed me to walk around and make a choice. While doing so, he did not following me or give me any high pressure sales pitch. When I was ready with my endless questions, he patiently and politely answered each and everyone of them. His customer service is stellar!! I test drove the car and fell in love. Once my decision was made, Nick gave me a complete tutorial on all of the many features. Mahammed,the finance guy, made my purchase a pleasure. My experience with this dealership was extremely favorable and I would gladly recommend to my friends and family. This is one of the few dealerships that does not pressure you or run back and forth to the manager to change the price. My leasing a 2012 Acura TL was good experience. Nick was courteous, informative, knowledagable, and a pleasure to work with! There were no hassles in the process,he worked very closely with us to get us the exact product we wanted with no price haggeling. Nick was the only person to point out the real features and benefits of buying an Acura, ie...the forgivness plan when returning a car on the back end of a lease and the titanium package on the front end of a lease.This was different than the other Acura dealers who just wanted to sell a car and this was one of the key reason why I leased an Acura vs other car manufacturers. The General Manager and the finance manager were a pleasure to work with and could not be more accomadating in helping with the programs and the purchase of my new lease. Numbers were reasonable for certified pre-owned with 40k miles. Helped me work with a price within my budget... and I've done my homework before I came in. No dealer tricks, Distinctly told Nick I was not there to waste either of our time. Warren helped me get the best deal with my finance and found me a better interest rate then my credit union, didn't try to force any extra warranties or things I wasn't interested in. It was an all round pleasurable experience. Fulfilled every request when it came down to showing numbers. Only negative was the wait time to find out my finance rate from banks, I know it doesn't take minutes but an hour and a half is a lifetime for someone whose in the waiting room. Dealt with DCH Montclair Acura right before I came to Open Road... The CPOs at DCH were ehh..they drove clumsily for 30k miles and did not have that same luxury quality compared to the TSXs at Open Road... DCH sales person was dealing with 2 other customers when I arrived, AND I called and made an appt. a week before. He just gave me the keys and said go for a ride and passed me off to his manager..talk about salesmanship pfft.. I work in marketing and advertising for 2 years and was in hospitality for 6 years and that is not how you treat a potential buyer or a customer, professionality. Tried to work a deal with the sales manager at DCH but he was condescending and did not take me seriously and shook my hand good-bye within 10 minutes. That's why I went with open road's vehicles. Made an appt. with Nick a week before, and he met with me exactly at my scheduled appt. took the time to try 4 vehicles and helped me clear out my old car and into my TSX. Salesman from DCH was called me 5x as I was closing the deal to my tsx at open road. More
