Nissan of Irvine responded

Mr Nouri at no time asked anyone at our dealer to double check compatability of the keys he provided us. We were asked to cut and program the keys we did so only to find out that Mr Nouri had purchased the wrong keys on Ebay. We explained this to Mr Nouri and our store had already contacted the dealer the keys were purchased from through Ebay and explained to them what happened and they asked us to have Mr Nouri contact them the next day. At no time did we ever say "it doesnt work you have to buy ours" we explained that he would have to purchase the correct keys in order to program them to his vehicle.

Not true, customer is not telling the truth. He never asked Bryant to check the part number. He didn't even know about the part number until we let him know he bought the wrong part from the other Nissan Store. He bought it online at a very reduced price.

Yea right. So ur saying that YOU checked the part number, found out that it was the wrong part, also magically found out what I paid for the part... then went and cut the WRONG part anyway so that Westcovina Nissan could not take the part i bought from them back!!? Also if "I" the customer was so wrong why was it that Westcovina Nissan sent u another part to fix this? Where u could've done just as easily. They where by no means at fault. When I called them to explain why u guys cut the wrong part, I was interrupted and was told that the most important thing was to get me back in my car satisfied. If it was not for them I would have never bought another Nissan. Take responsibility for damaging a genuine part brought to u in good faith, u purposefully and deliberately rendered it useless bc u believed I paid too little for it, and/or did not buy it from ur dealership. U repeatedly asked me how much I paid for the part when it should not have been ur concern. I left a message while my car was there for the dealership manager repeatedly as he was never available. Never received a call back. 2 days after this fiasco was over Westcovina Nissan called to make sure all was resolved. Atleast 7 nissans are owned by my immediate family, all serviced elsewhere from now on. A complete transcript of the encounter was sent to corporate and is under review hopefully will result in better customer care.

Mr. Nouri no one at any time at this dealer did anything deliberately to any part you provided. In the future you should double check compatability with any part you order online to avoid this type of situation. No message was ever left for me at anytime that I did not return and you spoke with me direct regarding the problem and I had you speak with my Parts Manager Dave Reed. We dont care whether you buy parts from us or anyone else however when you provide the part you are responsible for the accuracy of that part unless it is obvious that it is incorrect in the case of a key we would have no idea if you had explained you purchased it online from Ebay we may have been suspicious of the accuracy and double checked it however you never mentioned that. Our parts manager checked on the Ebay account you ordered the key from and it clearly shows that your model is not one of the models that the key you purchased is compatible with so at this point you need to accept responsiblity as well.
